Important things Iommie didn't mention is Argent Call: The Trial of the Crypt completion instantly grants you Revered with Argent Dawn plus more reputation based on your passive reputation gain (5%, 10% guild perks + human racial). Complete 9-11 repeatedable quests (also affected by reputation gain) = exalted. Also, the reason why you don't have to reset is the book is on a table, doesn't drop from a boss, but is unique.

Argent Dawn rep is a joke at 85 now.
From 0 to exalted, couldn't take you more than 3 hours tops.

The book is at the 2nd to last boss room, at the Crimson Throne. Once you clear it out, just go in and out picking he book up multi times and you'll get exalted in no time, no need to reset the instance.

To start, let's assume you've done the EPL quest line and are now newly-Revered (0 of 21,000 points) with Argent Dawn, on your way to Exalted. At 2100 rep per quest, it will take you 10 trips to achieve the goal of Exalted.

On your first trip, once you clear the instance (or just kill the mobs in your way), DO NOT RESET IT. All subsequent trips will involve running through an empty town, with the random exception of the plagued rats spawning in the gate mid-way between the entrance and the Scarlet Bastion.

I timed my runs, and the average over 20 trips (10 for each character) came out to 6 minutes 28 seconds, from picking up the quest to turning it in. So that's 58 mins and 30 seconds for the remaining 9 trips. Granted, I was using a flying mount to travel between LHC and Strat.

If only grinding every faction's rep to Exalted took that little time and that little effort!

To clarify a bit: The quest to get this object is not marked as repeatable (no blue question mark). It is repeatable and its sole purpose is to raise rep with Argent Dawn. Previous posters have suggested that you can run the quest, get the book, then acquire the quest again and run it through a cleared dungeon. That's true, and what is kool about it is that the dungeon remains cleared so long as you do not reset it, BUT THE BOOK REAPPEARS EACH TIME! This means that you do not have to fight any mobs to get it on the repeat runs. Well there may be a few loose ones running around, but nothing major.

As a Death Knight I was able to get to exalted quickly by getting the book, using the Death Gate and taking a quick fp hop from Ebon Hold to Light's Hope Chapel each time.

BTW the in-game map for Stratholm started to mess up when I repeated this quest. I was off the map when actually inside the Stratholm main gate. Wrote a ticket.

"Where" is the book? What room? Someone said Crimson Throne. Theres no room on the map. This place is confusing

Queue for "Stratholme- Main gate" - NOT "Service Entrance" if you want to do this quest.
