Update to follow @Xirev's intial post - here is the most recent findings (from the WoW Secrets Discord) for unlocking the Primal Invocation Extract Recipe, which we believe is related to the (eventual) discovery of the Primal Invocation Quintessence toy.

How do I unlock the Primal Invocation Extract recipe?

1. You must be an Enchanter

2. You must spec 10x KP into Insight of the Blue, and have the Primal Extraction sub-spec unlocked (you can have 0/40 KP in Primal Extraction and this will work)

3. Obtain the 4x Primal Storm Glimmers (Fire, Earth, Frost, Air)

Glimmers of Fire/Earth/Frost/Air are found in their respective Primal Storm
To collect Glimmers quickly, join a raid farming the storm. It should take anywhere from 10-15 mins to receive the glimmer of that storm from any mob in the storm (higher chance from Storm Rares) (some reports of 60+ mins, YMMV).
To check if you've collected all five Glimmers, use this macro assembled by Xirev:

4. Obtain the fifth Glimmer - the Glimmer of Order

Craft a Sophic Amalgamation (or get from Public Crafting Order) - don't add the pet to your collection!
Disenchant the crafted Sophic Amalgamation, and you'll receive the Glimmer of Order (RNG based, not guaranteed drop, you may need to DE many Sophic Amalgamations)
You cannot disenchant a caged Sophic Amalgamation, you have to DE the crafted item.

5. Obtain the Primal Invocation Extract Recipe

If you have all previous tasks accomplished, acquire another Sophic Amalgamation and disenchant it again and you'll receive the Primal Invocation Recipe. (RNG based, not guaranteed drop, you may need to DE many Sophic Amalgamations)

How can I help find the toy?

If you're an Enchanter who can unlock this recipe, help us find the toy by crafting these and using them! Use them in strange places, or under different effects/empowerments. Fight bosses with the illusion on, jump into things with the illusion on, etc.
If you're not an Enchanter, buy the item on the AH and test with it! We (the WoW Secrets Discord people) are keeping the cost down to material cost on the US Auction House so people can buy and test.

Currently this item have 1 hour cooldown after you use it (Yes it still consume the item).

You can get the extract recipe without DE'ing a second sophic amalgamation. I hade it drop from Morchok while an Earth Invasion was active (after having DE'd all the glimmers).

Minorly notable for being the only item Enchanters can Multicraft.

These actually stack, despite having an hour cooldown and 20 minute duration. I've been using them to get the toy and just had the duration increase to 33 minutes when I used a second one while already transformed into an elemental after having been logged out over night.
