Well since i play a holy pally 24/7 id like to see

2SetBonus - Flash of light has a 20% chance to restore 65* mana

4SetBonus - Divine illumination lasts 50% longer ( 21.5* seconds if im correct? )

Am I the only one who is really dissapointed in these set bonusses?
35% more healing for 15 seconds every 3 minutes. Means an average of roughly 3% increased healing if DI used on every cd (using it on cd would mean you cant save it for critical situations, fex being the only healer alive, spamming HL to keep tanks alive)

For the 4 set bonus we already have Light's Grace, even though its not exactly the same (HS being instant), but any HL cast up to 15 secs before will give the light's Grace buff. Dont know if the bonus and Light's Grace would stack.

Still, all in all. im not impressed. The tier 9 bonus of 100% increase on SS/FoL HoT is imo much better (8k crit = 1333 hps for 12 secs. Hopefully the tier 9 bonus is changed accordingly with the new patch, but havent seen it in the notes (SS/FoL HoT is removed in 3.3).

For the paladins who gem full int to keep up holy light spam, which I believe is the majority doing endgame content, the T10 bonuses are infinitely better than the almost useless T9 bonuses, which didn't justify using the T9 over better itemised (sp/haste/mp5) off-set pieces.

2 piece: Divine illumination will be great to use with divine plea. In conjunction with wings and/or a spellpower trinket, plea will be safer than ever.

4 piece: Not quite as awesome, as the hps of shock followed by faster holy light is still less than 2 holy lights, but still very nifty for heavy movement fights and those times when you have to shock or someone will die.

In short, I'll probably be using my frost emblems to get 2 piece bonus ASAP.

2 piece:
wings+trinket+div illum = godly, cheap heals
wings+trinket+div illum + div plea = normal heals, just cheap and with mana regen
wings+trinket+div plea or div illum + div plea = weaker heals with mana regen, cheap in second case

4 piece:
HS + HL = great for those situation when you have to run to the tank and heal quickly
HS crit + HL = better, even better (+20% HL crit bonus will still aply)
combine with ilvl 264 libram which stacks 85 SP per HS heal (up to 3 times)

with few words the set bonuses for holy pala are bad VERY BAD.from one(lets say)1hour raid run.How many times ur going to use DI or HL.if u got this ilvl on u only FL will heal ~7k normaly with near 1sec cast time.

Think about it crealy and dont try to put a reason(for critical situations/or something of that sort) to use DI and HL.
And ull see that this Set Bonuses are usless!

FoL is that spell u spam for the lolz of not wanting to stand around doing nothing.
d say the 2 set bonus is imba, the 4 set bonus ok.
ATM I either use Divine illumination-wings-trinket-dp once/ 3min or DP-trinket-DI and wings-other trinket-dp.
This bonus will make my regen much, much more effective (since witth DI I usually have to cancel DP early to keep someone up).

As of the FoL hot bonus: Its really a drop in the ocean. I wouldnt call it useless, but it really sucks.

If you are aiming for a 2-set bonus and still struggle to attain a haste cap of 676 haste rating - go for the headpiece and shoulders, the only items with haste in the set. Even if you already have a lot of haste - I still do consider that the best option, since crit is not fairly worthy, and mana regeneration is often not an issue, plus additional haste will let you manage other pieces of gear without gettng below the cap.

Am I the only Pally Healer who doesn't rely on Holy Light?
Sure its on my Healbot but I very rarely use it, do to the cast time. I can heal more, and faster with a Holy Shock and Flash of Light crit proc than I can with Holy Light.

This is why I hate that Bliz is making all of the higher gear, go toward Pally Healers using Holy Light all the time. With Libarms and Tier Gear going toward that, you'd think they'd make ones so that it cost less mana, then I might actually use it.
As it stands right now, with Divine Illumination, Arcane Taurent and my Trinket I can get back about 25% of my mana, and with my mana regin, I can spam Flash of Light as fast as possible (1.02 CD, with my Judgment of Light proc) and keep tanks up just fine, as well as heal raid, because Shammy heals are a bit slow.

So as for me, 2 set bonus is nice. 4 set, sure it's "neat" but not needed. "ohhh i get .3 seconds off my Holy Light....that's nothing, you get an instant Flash of Light, which with a crit, can do the same amount of healing as your base, no crit, Holy Light. And as we know 2 crits in a row will give you more mana back than 1.

wow... just..., wow...

It really is a shame to have a gear set with such an incredible 2-piece set bonus turn around and have one of the crappiest 4-piece set bonuses in WoW history. Its as if Blizzard didn't even consider the fact that Holy Shock's global cooldown eats one second or more of your productive casting time right off the bat (one second assumes you had the maximum possible gcd reduction via haste) which actually increases the time before you can get off another Holy Light by .7 seconds (1 second gcd minus the .3 seconds from set bonus).

Holy Shock was only meant to be used as a mana devouring "oh crap" spell since its inception, but Blizzard, if you stubbornly insist on integrating Holy Shock into our core gameplay, then this is what the set bonus should be:

(2) Set: While your Divine Illumination talent is active, your healing spells are 35% stronger.
(4) Set: Your Holy Shock spell causes the next Holy Light you cast within 10 sec to be an instant cast spell.

If they would have done it that way it might almost be worth it. But I dare say, even if they made Holy Light instant cast, many hardcore healadins STILL would not use Holy Shock due to its woefully bad mana inefficiency. At least they put the nice bonus first so you only have to get 2 pieces of tier gear rather than 4 to get the most out of your class.
