I've been using Deadly Gear to some success in a couple of heroics, but as domalus mentioned you'll blow through mana if your team isn't the best at avoiding taking hits in a longer duration battle (don't even THINK about being primary raid healer in Deadly), so get some MP5 gems until you can replace the gear (PVE-wise) as quickly as possible.
If you've got a second spec with better PVE gear (I personally played Enhance to 80 so that's what most of my gear was at the time), you could always set up a run with the intent made that you'll roll need on any Resto gear that drops. Either way, instance-wise...make sure you know where the big hits are and conserve like crazy!
