Ok I had this happen on my server several time. and yes one time I fell for it as well.
Get a blue drop and post it on the AH for X ammount of gold say 100. Then make an alt and Post in Trade WTB said Blue drop paying 160g.
Then when someone replies saying that they have it they say OK I gtg COD it to me. Then log off.
Normaly they will have bought it off the ah being yours thye bought and cod it to you.
With this the Scammer gets off with X ammount of gold and you have a blue drop in your mail a few days latter.

Ok I had this happen on my server several time. and yes one time I fell for it as well.
A scammer get a blue drop and post it on the AH for 100 gold. Then the scamer will make an alt and Post in Trade WTB, the same item he put in the AH on his main, paying 160g.
Then you see the item in the AH for only 100 gold, You buy the item and reply to the scammer saying you will sell it for 160 gold, They say OK I gtg COD it to me. Then log off.
Normaly you will have bought the item off the AH and cod it to him. You would make 60g
Yet, the Scammer will not buy the item you COD'ed him. He will send the item back to you on his alt and keep your gold on his main. You will have his blue drop in your mail a few days latter.

Yeah sorry I was confusing. Anyway didn't make much difference at the time but it is something to watch out for AND obviously not everyone knows about the scam as I fell for it.
