1) I know with how everything was changed around regarding pet talent trees, etc, etc, that I need to have a wolf, because the +AP is a great buff...and I'm fine with that. But the
worg
model is by far my favorite, and while I checked the database and know that I am high enough level to tame one, they are all in lvl 70+ areas, and I don't want to wait that long. Is there a way for me to tame one without having to wait until I hit level 70 and go to Northrend?
2) Now I logged on for the first time in more than a year last friday. Needless to say, a crapload of things were different. I was used to being #1 in DPS in dungeons, not including my pet's damage, with BM hunters and mages occassionally staying right with me or just edging me out.
When I ran Mana Tombs today, the DK that was tanking absolutely spanked my dps (including my pet's). I got beat pretty handily by an arms warrior too. Did we get nerfed that badly? Or am I just that out of practice?
My Armory
...as for pets I was using a bear today (just got it yesterday, because of all the changes Blizz made with pets), but I also have a cat and ravager from before all the changes were made. And like I said, I have plans to get a wolf.
Any and all constructive feedback is welcome...thanks!

1) there are worgs in silverpine forest that you can tame
2) BM got nerfed to the ground in 3.0, survival is king right now for pve, with marks closely behind, but you may just be out of practice.
Thanks for the reply...yeah, there are worgs in silverpine, but their skin is actually "DireWolfSkin>color<". The ones I like have the skin "WorgWhite", the lowest level being 63, found in Howling Fjord. Would a port to Dalaran work maybe? I know nothing about Northrend.
And yeah, I thought I might just be rusty.

Seeing as how your still levelling, DPS does not come into play. Yes you still need to perform at a standard where you are helping a group in a dungeon, but really, if people ask for a certain level of required DPS for a dungeon run pre 80, I would think they are crazy.
Also, BM is still the the top choice for levelling. Especially come Northrend, where you have plenty of mob killing quests. Keep your bear, aoe tank n spank, and your set.
You can tame a lvl 80 wolf from Storm Peaks when you hit 80. Problem solved :D

It's not that people ask me to hit a certain level of DPS, it's just that I was used to performing at a certain level relative to the group, and now my level of performance seems considerably lower than it used to be.
And yeah, I suppose...except for the "I don't want to wait that long" part =P

Once you hit 68 you can go Northrend (just like you could go Outland once you hit 58).
I know, I know, you don't want to wait.
If I may make a suggestion for a wolf in the mean time...

New wolf I'm levelling
up right now. Also, you can't really tell but the thing is big, standing next to the human characters in my guild, their eye level with the top of his back.
I've never played Marks, but I can certainly tell you that BM is great. Having gone back to BM for my farming spec, the difference is amazing. I currently can get 12 mobs on my pet, keep mend pet up, and use volley to take them all down. When levelling with quests like in Sholazar Basin, you just gather a few up and nuke them down, loot, repeat. Taking them out one at a time doesn't feel slow at all, especially when you have so many strong shots that you can nuke them before they get to you. Then you spec into a personal tank, and you can't believe how fast it all goes.
