that really doesn't answer his question. i have checked the stickies and they really don't mention the heirloom items. i have had that same question i have the sword and enough for the dagger, it makes me think if its worth it to get the dagger and sword both or just keep replacing my off hand as i lvl, i mean is it supper worth it haveing a sword in your off hand with sword spec, or how bad is dagger combat? or sword assassination?

So i have recently chosen to level a rogue. I haven't even played a rogue until now, and need some advise.
My rogue is lvl 10 and i can choose which tree i want to spec into. I am not interested in subtlety at all, so that leaves assassination and combat. I have both the BoA
Dagger
and
Sword
in my mains bank.
Is it acceptable to use the Sword and Dagger combination while leveling, or should i get 2 swords or 2 daggers?
I am also unsure of what my spec should look like at lvl 80. I have seen more specs for rogues then any other class.
So how would be the best way for me to level in your opinion?
using a sword/dagger just lends it self to combat... so that's the area you want to go. put your first couple points into improved sinister strike. and just go with what looks good from there.. Assassination is really made for two daggers (because of
Mutilate
).. combat is made for a slow, hard-hitting MH, and a fast OH.

I think this is his question. There have been many, many threads in the past three days on this topic.
Answer in brief: use the obvious rogue heirloom shoulders if you can. Level combat for no frills, low downtime leveling. If you can get heirlooms, either of the swords is fine for a mainhand; either dagger is fine for offhand and the other sword is okay for offhand too until you get combat potency. Wound poison on both weapons.
Rogue leveling guide coming soon.
Thanks, i appreciate the answers. so what i gather is that always throw the slow sword in your MH and if you want to throw the dagger in your OH, wound poisons on both.
Just wanna see what you guys think, do you think someone with BoA sword and dagger should go 5/5 sword spec or 5//5 dagger or any combonation?(combat tree obviously)
thanks again

Please feel free to check out the stickies - they're chock full of great information on playing a rogue.
In my opinion, the sticky threads fail when it comes to covering leveling. Until someone writes a decent leveling compendium, these threads are perfectly fine. :)
