so,what your saying is.lets say i bought one today(i probably wont,but just a example)and i scratched off the thing and activated it.does this mean that when my current timecard runs out then it'll just start up with the other one i just activated
That's how I always understood it, yes. The new card is simply added to the queue. Would suck to actually have to wait until it expired, before you could add a new one. I have yet to see anyone write something in the lines of:
"Sorry guys, have to log for a few minuttes - renewing game time".
Basically, it's the same deal for when you pay with creditcard. You choose a method of payment (1, 3 or 6 months), and it just auto-renews itself.

If you wanted to keep it for a few months that's fine. IIRC the longest I've hung onto a GTC was 6 months. I bought the GTC, and decided to use a credit card anyway.
At the end of the 6 months i tried the GTC and it still worked.
