Anyone who would beat you for not believing in God is definitely not a Christian at heart.
This is true.

I personally like to think that they are the same as PETA, they claim to do the right thing but they are mostly bored and going off in their own crusade.

What was it that Gandhi said? Something along the lines of "I like your Christ, but I don't like the Christians, they are so unlike their Jesus."

Don't make threads if you just want me to lock them. :P
And don't judge Christians by those guys any more than I judge atheists by...I dunno, Hitler.
Fact is, Jesus never forced anyone to believe in him. He was very careful to make sure that everybody had a choice.

Wasn't Hitler a self proclaimed Christian?

He also believed in visions.

Honestly people, just like there are Christians who stand at street corners creaming at people
Also, anyone who says that you're going to hell (
EVER
) is going against what Jesus said and judging you.
This statement doesn't make sense to me. How is telling someone that if they don't believe in Jesus, they are doomed to hell for their sins, judging them? It's the truth, and we're letting them know what
will
happen. Jesus died for the sins of the world, so that those that believe in him will be saved; their dept paid in full. Isn't it our duty as Christians to let people know about this good news?

Not sure if it's been said, but that thread wasn't about pushing someones specific belief on anyone, it was simply a matter of discussion on the topic, and sharing an opinion. It was the people
in
the thread that turned it into something else.
Fact is, Jesus never forced anyone to believe in him. He was very careful to make sure that everybody had a choice.
Also, just gotta say, can you really call being careful going, "Yeah, so, I'm god's son and if you don't believe in me, you'll burn in eternal hellfire, but ya know, your call..."
