Ok at the risk of sound like a complete noob, I am having trouble adjusting to playing a rogue, as things go I am very new to the game in general. I level my Ret Paladin to 80 without too much frustration, and I am having some trouble adjusting to the new play style of Rogue.
1) I know it is a little early to get feedback on character, but I am always looking to improve.
2) I am also running into trouble with CC and higher level mobs seeing through my stealth, personally thinking of putting future talents into Master of Deception to hopefully clear up some of that.
Example: I was in Hillsbrad Foothills last night and I was picking the mushrooms around the gnolls; I could not stop them seeing through my stealth long enough for one of the gnolls in the pairs to get sapped so I could ambush the next one and burn him down before the sap wore off of the other. Well long story short my equip needs repairing and I am finding it fairly slow leveling, I am doing things at my level with difficulty and generally have the most success with things 1 or 2 levels below my current level
ArmoryI have better gear waiting for 28 and 29
I also needed to train level 26...crap.
But yeah anything you all can say I am willing to listen to constructive criticism. I have exhausted the stickies for answers so here I am.

i think the main key problem you're having here is this "higher level mobs"... i'm sure on your lvl 80 ret pally (or at some point in levelling) you've seen a rogue of the opposite faction that's a few levels lower than you, in stealth, from quite a distance away... the same will be true for mobs.. your stealth isn't as.... sophisticated at lower levels as it will be when you get higher up. higher level mobs will be able to see you from farther off than someone at level or lower would.
also.. if you have a level 80, might i suggest getting some BoA items for your rogue if you're serious about levelling him.. the shoulders will become a friggin godsend, as will the extra XP bonus. if you have plenty of badges to spare, you should pick up some weapons too. i personally have two of
these daggers on my rogue. You made it past lvl 22 though! that's something to be proud of because, before poisons, before DW, and before vanish, is the hardest part of levelling a rogue from what i've seen thus far (i'm lvl 46 atm). People say that using a mh sword is better for combat, but I worked combat up until lvl 40 without any real problems. I switched to sub around 40 for the improved ambush and preperation abilities... looking forward to shadowstep when i can get to that point as it seems like it'll be friggin sweet.
here is my rogue if you want to take a look.
