I already have a warrior, that is both tank and arms specced, and ive recently started a dk alt for questing, grinding and maybe a heroic or pvp sometime and as variation to my main.
I really like the wierd dual wield animation forsaken got so im gonna go for that with my dk, it might not be as good as 2her, but its just a alt and questing at lvl61 in hellfire in a wierd frost/unholy specc dual wielding is easy even if i just faceroll.
But at 80, i wanna do as good as i can while still dual wielding, in cheap gear, green gems, cheap enchants. Given that, whats the best build i can use? Slow onehanders or fast cause of shadow damage thingy in unholy?

slower will always be better for your main hand.
that said, duel wielding took a huge nerf in 3.1, any spec you can come up with will give you higher dps with a 2h'er instead. so you'll be gimping yourself no matter what spec you can come up with.

Not entirely true. In mainly heroic dungeon gear with my DPS spec I've got myself doing about 2-2.5k dps with this spec
here
.
I use the standard slow swinging main with a fast off. Razorice on my off hand for frost vulnerability and Fallen crusader for strength boost. Basically I run it almost as if I would a rogue using deadly poison.
I never use D&D. glyphs are Frost strike, Obliterate, and Icy Touch for majors.

So your using FS and OB for your primary attacks? Both of which are based off of weapon damage right? I guarantee you if you use this exact same spec with an equal ilevel 2h'er your dps goes up with the exact same rotation you use now.
I never said you couldn't duel wield. you CAN do anything you want, the point is if you want to do the best you can you wield a 2h'er.
if you really wanted to maximize duel wielding potential, you'd take talents that would emphisize spell damage and auto attacks. Like Necrosis, Blood Caked Blade, Unholy Blight, Diseases, IT, Ghoul. With increases haste from icy talons.

It would go even higher if he took points out of NoCS and put them in, say, CotG and UA.

so, something along these lines is what people are experimenting with DW?

Seems pretty doable... especially if ArP and Haste are benefiting DW that much. Seeing as t8 has a decent amount of it.
