Last night we (a PuG) cleared heroic OS on Cenarion Circle.
In divying up loot, we finally reach the bag o' loot. There, the raid leader started booting everyone and blamed the tanks (me being one of them). After talking to the other tank and thinking it was him, I'm forced hearthed back to Dal on the 60 sec timer, add the RL as a friend, and still see him sitting in OS. Guess I figured out who was responsible.
Aside from complaining to their guild leader, which may or may not work, are there any real deterrents or solutions to this? I have little faith in Blizz to solve this problem or do much about it. Any ideas?
Any positive feedback/ideas, would be appreciated.

Just do a little bit of mindplay with them, ask them some questions about drops, try and guage thier reactions to any items u may care about..
either that or ask around either with random contacts in frinds list or... ask in guild someone will probably know him, if they act like they have an IQ of around -20 (in that they are bound to owe some simian a brain) then just dodge the group it wont be worth it becuase lets face it poor leadership and <CAPS KEY STUCK> probably wont leave to an overall fun raid.

If you have to PuG raids, find the honest raid leaders, friend them, and hold onto them like they're your dying mother.

How did you get force hearthed back to Dalaran? Shouldn't you have been ported to the nearest graveyard? Not really sure why that part stood out to me most...
You automatically use your hearthstone if you are in an instance and not in a group with the raid leader.
They changed that in 3.1. Thats what drooood was saying, they changed it so that you'd get ported to the nearest graveyard.
I believe the GY port is only if your Hearth is Up. if it's available, you port home...

Can't you also not get hearthed out of raids? That's why people that ninja, get booted, then just sit there are such a pain, because you can't force them to leave and bring someone new in.

My thoughts exactly. This story seems contrived...possible trolling attempt I am guessing.
After you've done your OS or VoA, try it yourself. Leave the group with your hearthstone up and see where you end up (assuming you don't mind the 30min CD being burned).
If you think this was contrived and is an attempt at trolling, I certainly could have come up with something more ridiculous or inflammatory. The post initially had the name and guild of the offender but I was advised to remove them.
In any case, I wanted to see what other constructive answers there were. I didn't exactly ask for flamebait or want this to be a QQ post.
