Due to lack of avoidance, stamina (to a certain degree), expertise and hit rating it is not reccomended that you tank in pvp gear.
The only advantage of it is that you'll have an easier time to be uncrittable and a ~health pool. I'm not saying you should be using it for tanking, but I know a friend of mine who've tanked many heroics in full pvp gear (hateful+), but it puts a large strain on the healers (he had a great one). It's possible, but far, far from the better choice.
All in all, PvP gear for tanking ==> No

No.
The only tank, to me, who could ever get away with PvP gear was the BC Feral Druid.

Resilence can make you immune to crit, as Aleanos as has previously no avoidance makes you a very weak tank and PvP gear very weak overall.
Mmm. And any tank worth their weight will make the effort to get uncrittable via defense. Resil might be okay to bridge that "last bit" of critability, for heroics I suppose... as long as they upgrade to uncrittable via defense ASAP.
