...At what point did Britney Spears acquire the ability to actually sing -pleasantly-? The same can be said for the majority of the mainstream 'sirens' now. Honestly.
But seriously...when? Did I like...go into a coma or something, and during that time, these little tarts grew some actual singing talent...?
You want a good -voice- to listen to?
Try Ann Wilson. Lead singer of Heart, for those of you that have no musical taste/just don't know.
Or, Pat Benatar.
Anyyyyhow; I loved this. Hearing her voice made me grin like the Cheshire cat. Absolutely lovely.
Have you heard her live? Most likely not. Then you shouldn't judge. Personally I think the "music" you listed sucked and that you have no taste, but w/e. I've heard Britney Live and she's just as good live as on CD. Also, as a mainstream siren, Rihanna has to be the best singer ever. I've heard her live thrice, she has the voice of an angel and sings even better live.

I cannot stand the "pop" on the radio today. The moden rock and rap i can handle but still not as good as the classics. Vikey i find Heart and Pat Benatar to be wonderful groups especially when compared to your kinds. I have never heard Rihanna live nor do i ever plan on doing so. The majority of the songs ive heard her sing have all seemed to be about HER. No not the guy thats cheating or the one that shes cheating on just about her

You haven't heard much of her songs then, shes amazing. I hate the old "classics" from "back in the day", unless its madonna,MJ, or Queen

You have to realize that even live they use frickin' synthesizers and voice changers. She couldn't possibly do all that ^&*! without the help of technology. She wouldn't last a week without her technology.

Even my favorite metal bands use such things as voice changers and growlers. They have to because the growling they do would take their voice away in less than a day. Get a life, go listen to some real music and then come back and tell me who is fake and who isn't. I just can't believe people like you exist.
