This made me laugh.
I hope it made you laugh because of how true it is. Faced against a mob with infinite HP, who will live longer, the priest, or the rogue? Now two mobs with infinite HP.
This is funny. This will never happen in game, your example is void.
"Faced with a killable mob that instantly kills Priests, who will live longer, the priest, or the rogue?" is just as valid.
But dispite your example being very flawed, the Rogue will. Because he can Vanish, Sprint, Blind, Gouge and Kidney Shot, then run till the mob resets.
Will a rogue kill 6 mobs without blowing every CD he's got and a pot to boot?
Will a priest kill them with conservative healing, PW:S and DoTing them up?
Which seems more likely to you?
You are too vauge. If the mobs silence, the Priest will die very very quickly, for example.
what if the mob stuns? btw, a silence? lulz. pw:s and your good to last though it, not only that but your renew should be up

I can't tell if this guy is serious or not.
If he is: Maybe you found levelling your warrior easier than your rogue because your rogue was your first character, so you was still 'learning the ropes' (I assume it is your first character after the little story about Northshire/Elwynn). Warriors didn't get passive healing when I levelled mine, so that point is invalid as you obviously haven't levelled your rogue and warrior in the same game (current wow is vastly different to vanilla).
If he isn't: *patting his head* Here is a cookie. Now who's a big-brave rogue? You're a big-brave rogue. Yes, you are. Now run along, but beware of those nasty level 9 prowlers.

Yeah, it's true that many people hate rogues because they kill clothies fast and appear out of nowhere, and dissapear into nowhere... in one word, because they are nice at PvP they are considered as cheap.
But then again, people hate warlocks because of fear, many hate mages because of PoMPyro, Druids for kitty form or Boomkin form, Hunters for the Big Red Pet and it's Master, Pallies because of their bubble, and what else.
Don't reduce it to rogues, almost every class has something that makes some other class hate it.

Rogues need to set up attacks. This makes them a tad harder to get damage going while soloing.
Rogues don't have tanks of mana. They're limited to 100 energy, spent very quickly.
Rogues are meant for PvP. Mostly true. Combat can do PvE better though, due to more crowd damaging abilities.
Rogues, however, are NOT the hardest class to level. I've rolled a Rogue (Twink for 19, but I decided to level him), and have done some work with him. I've rolled a Warrior before as well. Then I proceeded to delete him at level 12. It's hard on them (From what I know =P). Priest doesn't exactly level quickly either.
