Ive just moved to the 2H frost dps build from blood. I'm amazed at the crits i'm getting from oblit, HB, and frost strike. 10k isnt unusual. I'm doing 10-20% more dps using this build :)

When Blizzard removed blessing of salvation they buffed tanks threat by 43% when wrath came out.
No offense to your tank or any other ones out there. Excluding AoE, as long as your on the same target as the tank, you should never pull agro.
All the tanks have pulling methods where they can always get 1-2 strikes in before anyone else for beginning threat.
I've played multiple tank classes, from warrior, druid, and paly. There is no reason you should be pulling threat, period.
Note: Make sure your not dps'ing in frost presence...
Edit: ...i just doubled checked and your spec also has 25% threat reduction...
Maybe the tank was forgetting something? A paly without Righteous fury up has weak threat...

i have been using this spec for like a week and half, as dk is my alt.
Basically have been hitting the wall at 2200dps or so on the test dummy...felt like my single target dps was keeping me down in heroics/10man raids.
Picked up the icytouch sigil
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40822
from venture coin quests (somehow i missed it while leveling/gearing) and started to prioritize IT>FS rotation once i can get my deathrunes up...noticed huge burst dps jump...now can get 2600 easily and burst up to 2900 over the 3min duration of horn of winter. Hit rating is like 275 with titansteel, like 225 with nax10 claymore
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=39393
, but i keep around the same dps, maybe slightly more burst with the claymore. My crits on FS and IT are like 45%. The burst dps really goes up when the IT procs killing machine and i use it on the following frost strike, but due to rp and rotation sometimes killing machine ends up being used on IT after FS procs. This is only self buffed and gear still needs work. But finally feel satisfied with the build (using 2pts in veteran 3rd war).
*using razorice rune and unholy stance
interested to see what others in pre nax25 gear are doing dps wise with the build
(havent been able to get a good mainhand 1h to test the unholy dw build for comparison)

(I wonder why don't they just make this proc a HB automatically like the death coil in Blood)
Well, with the new
Glyph of Howling Blast
, it might be advantageous to pick and choose when you want to HB to refresh the disease timer. I'm toying with an idea of not using Icy Touch at all after 3.1; I don't want to have two discussions on the same topic, so I'll just say have a look
here
and I would love any feedback anyone has. Lynri, if you see this, I would especially love to hear what you have to say.
