Well, how is it harder to believe that there is a God, than believing in evolution/big bang.
Which would you rather be true? That there is a God that created you, loves, knows, and died for you all so that you could be saved and go to Heaven? Or would you rather believe that you are an accident. You came about because something exploded and then little microbes got toughener and partied and after million and millions of years here are you.
Not absolutely positive how to reply to this, but right back at you? I wouldn't rather anything, but is it impossible to not believe in a specific deity and also believe in evolution? There is more proof to evolution then there is to religion, and both are still kind of far fetched, but evolution makes more sense to me so I choose to believe in it as opposed to your religion. I refuse to believe in something because it'll make me feel better about my existence, I choose to believe in what makes sense. I'm going to die one day and I'll find out then, until then I'll keep living life how I want within what I believe to be morally right and not live life how a book told me to.
Very flustered writing that, and it not really clear, but... yeah..
Oh, and Parra, I don't see myself as ranting as I am stating my opinion. I'll admit its rude to simply say what I did, but I'm not sorry for it. /shrug

Edit - in another thread you say, "for christ's sake!" Why do you say this if you don't believe?
Very flustered writing that, and it not really clear, but... yeah..
That's were we disagree once again. You say that, "There is more proof to evolution then there is to religion." But to me, God has been proved 100%. Christianity doesn't just make me feel better about my existence, it
makes
my existence. It gives me something to live for. You say that, "I choose to believe in what makes sense." Well, Christianity makes perfect sense to me. And do really want to die and then find out you were wrong and have to go to hell? One last thing; you say, "I'll keep living life how I want within what I believe to be morally right and not live life how a book told me to." Well, the Bible gives us some of our information on how to live. But all that came from God. Also, the Holy Spirit inside me tells me how to live too.
Can't you believe in evolution and God?
Micro-evolution yes, Evolution as stated by Darwin? No. The Bible clearly says, God created everything in 6 days and by the seventh it was complete. That doesn't mean they were still being created at that point.

Well, there is only one God, and the Bible talks about Him. So you sort of have to believe in both or don't believe at all. Unless you believe in a false god, then of course you wouldn't believe in the Bible, but then you wouldn't believe in anything real.

Well, if god loves me, he'll understand my disbelief in him and forgive me. Otherwise, he obviously doesn't love me to much to let me burn in eternal hellfire.
I'm done talking about it, and for the sake of my sanity and temper, don't go on thinking you 'won' our debate or something, as its not really possible to prove either of our points. Thus, why I tend to avoid religion/evolution talk, there is no end to the argument.

No, because God loves you enough that He died for you. I've been trying to get you to convert, so you can't say you've never heard of Him. God has given you all your life to believe in Him and accept Him. If you sin and ignore him for your whole life and then die and meet Him, He won't forgive you and let you into heaven. He would love to, but he can't let something sinful mar perfection. God has given you plenty of chances to become saved, if you ignore Him, why should He let you into His heaven?
Sorry if my thoughts are kind of jumbled, but I'm writing this as it comes into my head. You've made me worried and now I'm getting nervous that I may do something to make you hate Christians/Christianity/Christ.

Good point. And thanks ILoveMuffins, but I don't think I'm doing such a good job. :\

The what now? Who are you to tell me what God is false and what is "real"?
Who are you to tell me 2 + 2 = 4?

Nice cover. She'll never think pass that one.
:(
Meh, not you. I dislike pretty much any deep religious believer, because most try to push it on others. Such as you are here, regardless if you realize it or not.
Edit: Best.
Commercial.
Ever.

Just teasing her.. and enjoying your sense of humor.. xD
Oh, and that's another thing all of you religious peeps say.. you're worried for me.. I make my own decisions consciously, so please don't.
Whether you agree with this or not, I believe god gave us free will and if he is almighty is expecting many people like me, if you are allowed to believe your variation on god, let me believe in mine. I believe in something, just not the bible specific god.
