-Climate Change is real
-Humans may or may not be making Climate Change progress more swiftly than it would have naturally. There is evidence to show that we might be, but not enough to say that it's proven.
-Evolution, like the affect of humans on climate change, has quite a bit of evidence to support it, but not enough to say that it's proven.
-Science and religion are two very different things - Because while scientific theories like evolution and climat change have alot of evidence in support of them, they are still denied by some because of that little bit extra they need for proof. Meanwhile religious theories do not need scientific evidence to be believed.
The only thing I would cahnge is that the climate has always been changing, but some think it has started hanging more drastically. Also I disagree with that statement that Evolution has lots of evidence to support it, but we've already gone over that. There's no need to get back into it.

It was a good discussion even if neither of us changed the other's mind.

I wouldn't know what to do it about. :(
Queggy out.
Edit - Mroomkin, I don't really want to get back into the discussion right now, but real quickly, my point about the cities is that Humans don't just sleep under the stars and hunt with their bare hands, we build things to survive.

There's an old rock singer in Brazil called Raul Seixas, he's already dead, but back in his day he was pretty famous, even on other countries.
On one of his most famous songs he sang the following phrase:
"Eu prefiro ser essa metamorfose ambulante, do que ter aquela velha opinião formada sobre tudo."
"I'd rather be this wandering metamorphosis, than always have that same old opinion about everything."
He was singing about politics, but it fits in my view about Religion. I don't like religion because it never changes, it is and always will be the same way it was two thousand years ago. On the other hand, science changes it's point of view when it's proven wrong, because scientists know there is no ultimatetruthand if thee is human kind is still SO far from getting there.
Raul is awsome. And so is that song; Metamorfose Ambulante.

However, God also created Lucifer (satan) as an archangel, but Lucifer then left God's service along with several other angels to create hell and torture sinners
the problem with this is that it means that God created Satan and controls his actions
which means, technically, God causes all of the evil from the devil
this is either a hole in your belief or the christian god creates all evil
As I've said: there can be no light without darkness.
And evil doesn't come from the Devil. People are evil Mr Constantine. People.

Thronnar - Or else you are wrong and God did give the angels free will and Lucifer just wanted power for himself.

Queggy, your entire arguments are based on the assumption that a god exists. Try to expand your thoughts and try to think about how things can be possible if he didn't.
Also, concerning this quote
OH NOES, WEIR GOIN TA CRASH INTA TEH SUN!
Hopefully this isn't what you think global warming is about...

Hopefully this isn't what you think global warming is about...I was joking, if you look under that quote you'll see a little "jk".

Let me tinker with that statement a bit and I get -

Laihendi used to be a christian until ~13. Then he realized how utterly ridiculous the stories in the bible are, and how they have no more credibility than ancient greek or egyptian mythology. Nobody even considers taking those seriously, so why take yet another religion seriously?
Try again, please.
Also, most of the people here who don't seem to be religious are explaining how it is possible for God to not exist, why there is no evidence indicating that he does exist, and things of that sort. Basically all you've done the entire time is go nuh uh he's real.

I've tried explaining it as best I could from my point of view to you guys, but it's hard. I try my best though. What I wish is that someone else who is a Christian would help me out here. I know they are out there (naming no names) and I wish they would cover my back for me.

Maybe it's difficult because no argument supporting it holds up?
Also, everyone should be able to articulate their own beliefs and be able to defend them.

No, it feels like you're all against me and I'm trying to argue by myself. How would you like to be put in a battle field with no one on your side and 100 people on the other side?
Edit- I don't know how to articulate it into something you will all understand and accept, because some of it is faith. And unless it is hard factual evidence you all discredit it.

That's what it's like for Laihendi everyday at home and (to a lesser extent) school.

That would be because there's no reason to believe something just because. If there's no evidence supporting an idea, there simply is no reason to give it a second thought.

There is plenty of evidence for me, I just don't see how I can get you guys to accept it as evidence.

The bible is no more historical than the Iliad.
The Iliad took place in a real part of the world, and took place during a war which actually happened (Trojan War). Does that mean that Achilles was real, and that battled Hector outside Troy? Does it mean various people (it's hard to remember all their names now) would battle the suns of Gods? Does it mean Achilles (if he even did exist) was attacked by a river? NO.
All those things sound ridiculous, but is it any more wacky than the stories of the bible? Talking snakes, bushes spontaneously bursting into flame and talking to people? Someone opening paths to walk through the ocean with? People actually standing ON water?

Thanks for proving my point.

The fact that you still deny it even when it's laid out right in front of you like that is disturbing.
