It's not Digimon, it's Pokémon, stupid. And Ash has a Pikachu, not a Raichu. Pikachu evolves into Raichu.
And he doesn't evolve it because it doesn't want to evolve.
That's stupid. Your stupid. I remember watching digimon, so I think I remember what the show is about: Ash's Raichu won't evolve because of a mystical artifact that Ash keeps around his neck, which transforms him into an Egyptian pharaoh from the past.

On a similar note, does anyone else immediately think of Dark Zebra from Yu-Gi-Oh when they see the zhevra mount? I specifically think of the scene from Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged when Kaiba says "And... some kind of evil zebra unicorn thing. Seriously, what the hell is that supposed to be? Whatever it is, I'll be seeing it in my nightmares."

I watched every episode from the beginning to a point where they were in a virtual reality realm of some sort. Even then, I barely remember (This was some time ago, mind you).

I'm pretty sure it's one of those, I'll take a look in the book tonight and see if I can put together which one it is (I read the description of one of the characters and realized it was the character on the front, I just can't remember who it was.)

Eh, I wasn't really dis-including mechanus when I mentioned Imperial Guard, it's just that the Gaunt's Ghosts novels have made the Guard my favorite faction.
