As soon as I got my Earthwarden, I had crit immunity with the clefthoof set and had picked up the best quest reward (and some instance) blues for tanking. I was just over 20k armor and like 11-13k healh like you said. That's when I started tanking heroics. It was a little hairy at first but with a good healer it should be fine. Just don't try to tank too many more than one or two mobs at a time :).

Clefthoof and random green & blue rings and trinkets filled the other slots. All of that stuff was pretty easy to procure.

EDIT: Erp, looks like Nab and I hit post almost at the same time. Similar things to say, as usual. There are a few other things in my gear list you might check out.

As usual, definitely look at http://www.emmerald.net/Bear_Mitigation/Index.html for reference when deciding what to go for with tank gearing. As with most point systems, it should be taken with a grain of salt. I do think, though, that Emmerald has some good ideas.

Thanks for the help guys. I was just kind of wanting a ballpark figure. I had seen your eq list and was going to aim for those as quickly as possible, but I didn't know where I should be at hp/ac wise. I do have Braxxis' staff with a 35agi enchant on it and will use that until earthwarden.

I'll grind some clefthoof leather and heavy knothide for the stylin hat to begin with.

I do plan on getting season 1 gear but probably not season 2 or 3. Not sure yet on those. I don't like pvp much due to high latency issues but that's neither here nor there.

So I'll get the quest eq you stated in SMV at 68 and then go from there.

Do the mechanics or suggested rotations change at all for bleed resistant MOBs?

As for the gear before heroics, the first gear suggestions of Nab's gear is pretty much through quests and 70 instances pre heroic. Also there is another post on the board where the guy put that he didn't like pvp so he didn't have any pvp gear in his slot list.

Looks like he edited it a bit and put in a couple bg rewards, but those aren't that hard to farm.

hey nabterayl, you might remember me as takillah, as i remember you as jaasica. Great guide, i really love it, concise as usual, as with all of your tanking guides haha. I'm glad mal made me discover your updated guides on wowhead forum, I got a druid to 66 right now and i was begining to wonder where to get gear for him.

With this you completely changed my focus on tanking stats and ther worth of heavy clefthoof, among others. thanks for the guide, you made me think of maybe make a priest heal guide if there's a need on the priests forum, haven't visited them yet.

P.S. I miss our number crunching discussions haha

What are your views on the new lacerate changes in patch 2.4 where lacerate gains a bonus from AP.

Is this ment to increase TPS?

Or is it ment more for PVP as I've seen mentioned in someplaces?

I'm leaning towards the first but I also may be missing the point as I don't have enough caffine in me.
