Very nice guide :) I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but perhaps you could also put in a brief section about addons? I know Questhelper/cartogropher helped me immensely while levelling.
Actually I noticed that Jame's leveling guides are now supplied in an addon. I made an edit in the guide to make mention of this. Really that should be all you'll need for leveling purposes. Do you agree with me?

currently have a shammy myself that im lvling elemental and have to say that IF you can find it in a reasonable amount of runs of rfk

is so worth the effort as it will last you till mara. only downer about it is that is on a rareboss that spawns a decent amount of times, just not everytime.
of course if you have a main you could just buy/trade runs with someone.
I think I've only seen that boss spawn twice out of the millions of times I've ran rfk with my alts :P

Quick question here! I am leveling an ele. shaman and love it! I'm about to respec my points out of enhance (after reading this guide and feedback therein) .
My question is about Fire Nova Totem. Every time I cast it with more than one mob around (which is when I do it) someone always targets it and kills it before it explodes. Does it still have 0 threat in 3.1? Thanks!
I personally never use it, the mana cost, the length of its existance and its damage it does is not very balanced.
But i heard that the threat that it gives was zero, i personally use the following:
1: Flametongue Totem (increases spellpower to you and all your party/raid members within range)
2: Stoneskin Totem (increases armour by xxx to you and all your party/raid members within range)
3: Mana Spring Totem (Increases mana regen to you and all your party/raid members within range)
The 4th will be the windfury thing that improves spell haste, once i get it, when i get in a group with another shammy, we will have to make a team effort to bring out different totems, so they don't clash.
I stopped using the searing totem and the other fire damage dealing totems awhile back, it really didn't help much.
I am currently (recently levelled) level 49 and the totems in my post is what i always use, when i use totems at all.

I would personally keep fire nova for pvp usage only and drop magma instead. If you find that mobs are killing your fire totem then drop stoneclaw totem right after dropping your fire totem. It will 1) cause threat and 2) give your fire totem a shield.

I have just started lvling my shaman as an elemental shaman and so far it is really easy to kill stuff, although I probably have skewed results due to having 19 twink gear (without enchants) so at lvl 29 i have 1.2 health and 1.8 mana which makes it very easy to destroy mobs. As for totems i use mana spring and if i have a friend i use str of earth or if alone generally stoneskin unless there are multiple mobs then earthbind, and for a fire totem i use searing for single mob pulls and fire nova for multiple followed by magma. In pvp i have found that mana spring, earthbind and magma are great for anti rogues, for the magma kicks them out of stealth and earthbind lets you kite away; for non rogue targets searing works fine. my general spell rotation has been lightening bolt, frost shock lightening, fire shock, lightening, and finishing with a frost to stop the mob from running (i use earth shock instead of frost for caster mobs)
I dont use glyphs right now just because i havent been back in a major city since lvl 10...lol i dont even think i have used my bank yet XD
btw when do i get one of those libram totem thingys?
P.S. my plan for future lvling is to get duel spec at 40 and go elemental and resto and then go resto at end game
Oh and as of 3.2 there wont be a need for a totem macro, blizz is giving us a new action bar for 4 totems that places them all at once for the mana cost of them all combined

Well, I got a druid to 50 and a mage to 38, never messed with shammies before, but after seeing the guide I might give it a wirl, gj with the guide!

I just noticed this, should mention, the addon has an issue with Vista users, they havent figured out what is wrong yet, but are looking at it. (btw I guess SOME vista users are able to use it, idk its weird lol)

I just hit 30 but I think the the spec is still good (nothing negative happened really in the 3.2 patch as far as I have noticed).
