Zakkhar, the problem is that while it's for your main SPEC (prot), it's for an offSET (not tanking).
It's entirely possible that sword was a TANKING upgrade for the TG warrior, who quite likely is still using a quest reward green in his tanking set and thus would benefit from the 1H dps weapon in his tanking set.
You are a ninja if you took priority OVER him on the item. If you both rolled equally and you won, you are not a ninja.
PERIOD.

I wrote welcome in wotlk to emphasise that with current changes to tanking and threat keeping mechanisms all protection classes can have a use for pure dps stat items (even pre tbc had for pure dps weps)... If you knew a few things about warrior tanking maybe it would be worth to discuss it, but it occurs to me that you dont, so i dont feel like this is in any way productive for this thread. So lets leave it like this.
You lose out on slight AP, BV for a slight Crit gain, your tanking sword is actually superior for threat imo.
I already wrote that for warrior only usage for 1handed sword is Protection therefore TG warr had no right to need for offspec, cause his offspec was actually my main spec.
As for Holy Pala its exactly the same mechanics. Paladin has no use of 1h physical sword outside Protection tree, which as above happens to be my main and current spec.
They had no right?
What gives you the right to say that?
The only thing you did here was change your own words to suit your own case, your initial argument was that it was better than your slow weapon, when inquired upon it, you claimed to use it for purposes other than tanking, when that was questioned, you said it's superior for threat tanking.
Make up your mind.
Is there anything you dont understand here?
Let's reread what you've wrote:
I had
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28308
and
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44735
for leveling/grinding/dw spec.
It's definitely not my fault that you wrote "spec" in your own sentence.

A friend of mine told me he was running his lvl 80 solo through stratholme, when a lvl 59 guildie asked to be taken along for some gear upgrades. Being the nice guy he is, he agreed.
Baron dropped mount. lvl 59 Needed on it, and won.
Needless to say he no longer has a guild.
Now this is not my story, so i can't back it up, but if my friend wasn't bullcrapping me, that is one of the worst ninjas I've ever heard of.

Pre WOTLK pugging Heroic Magister's Terrace for
this
, I normally ran it with guildies. I ran it for a solid month and a half every day because it would never drop.
A Retadin who claimed to have respecced for the run even though no one in the group knew him, the trinket dropped and he rolled need as Prot was his main spec apparently. I won the roll, him rolling an underwhelming 2 and I rolled a 99 :) He even had the nerve to leave the group saying it was unfair of me to roll need when I was the tank.

Last summer I was doing a Guild run of Gruul's, and the raid needed one more ranged dps. My brothers IRL friend who had recently hit 70 on his Lock, but was still not very well geared asked if he could come. GM invited him, and we got started on high king. Now, the GM had forgotten to set it to ML, so everything popped up as group loot. Naturally everyone passed on it to wait for rolls, except my brothers friend. It wasn't an intentional ninja, he didn't know the rules, and he only needed on the stuff he needed XD. Anyways, this, this, and this went straight to him even though there were several other people in the guild who could have used those for upgrades.
Long story short - I got gkicked because of his stupid ass, and I see him in trade chat about 20 minutes later asking where to turn in his token XD.
wow just wow even though he ninjaed them they were all major upgrades if he just dinged 70
but i wonder why did you get g kicked because of something he did?
