This is sort of a reverse ninja story. Was leveling my warrior alt, did ZF,
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=9477
dropped. It was an obvious upgrade for me, so, I rolled need. The group leader (priest) kicked me from the group the second it hit my inventory and cussed me out for being a ninja since "staves were for casters, and I was just throwing a hissy fit that the paladin won the plate earlier." By the time I replied that it had higher min and max damage than my current weapon and I was sorry he was mislead, I was ignored.
Either that or my real life friend was power leveled via recruit a friend to 60 and as a clothie stole some plate since "they needed the stamina" on it. I sure had fun explaining to the group they had only played 3 weeks.
My question to you is WHY. your a warrior if it was a 2h sword mace or axe I could see you rolling if it was a 1h axe sword or mace I could see you rolling or even a polearm. But the last time I looked the only class who would want a staff would be a caster, or a druid since they dont attack with there weapon's they use them for pure stats....
where d'ya see stats on this stave? there's only chance on hit = u have to melee to proc it

I was rolling through H-VH, and on the last boss a piece of cloth armor drops, I think it was
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37876
, and everyone passes except for the last person, a rogue. He greeds it without saying anything then immediately leaves the group. I whispered him and called him out on it, asking why did he greed that? He responded with something dumb like, oops it was an accident. I called him a ninja and he told me to "suck it up". That really !@#$ed me off.
Why even bothering ninjaing something your just going to vendor? Seems just blatantly inconsiderate.
maybe he did it by accident? and if you need it you would still get it with "need" and if you dont need it then its only like 5-6g from vendor .. =P

First of all as I said I was a paladin and there was no warriors or druids in my group or even other pallies. I wouldn't have minded if they got it but they didn't a shaman got it. A ELEMENTAL SHAMAN.
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28675
was the ring. I even explained why I needed it. because I was tanking with a green quest reward ring. He had 2 epic rings that was amazing. I didn't role on anything else the entire raid. Hey I could have roled on the 1H sword that droped but I didn't. For that matter several of the guys in the raid was really mad at the decision of what the ML did. I had them remembered and what I did was when we all got out I gave every one of them exept my friend 20g as repair fee.

As a holy priest I would prefer this go to anyone who would use it? Perhaps a druid has more use than the warrior but i don't think so. But why would a priest want a chance on melee hit stun?
As far as ninjas go, ive been lucky and not really met too many. I do remember when heroics and kara started that people were quite fast to click need on anything epic that they could use even if it wasnt ideal (pallies in cloth shoes from aran etc.) but this got less as people did more raids/heroics.

I was running with my old guild in Kara. We had ONE Holy Priest in the guild and he was looking to build his gear up. He had
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31304
as his main weapon. One day in Kara
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28522
drops off Maiden. I (Holy Pally) have
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31342
so Maiden's mace would've been an upgrade but I decide to pass and assume the Priest will get the drop, then this other Holy Paladin who had
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32451
decides to roll "need" against the Priest. Why? "Because this mace has MP5." Forget about the fact that Maiden's Mace has about the same intellect, less stamina and spellpower then the one he has and that our fellow guildie had much more inferior mace. Despite all our objections he rolled for it anyway and won. As a result the Priest never ran in Kara again with us and eventually left the guild. The Paladin who won the mace never equipped himself with the mace he so desperately "needed".
The following week, his same simpleton rolled against my friend, who is a Retribution Pally, for a
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28773
and won it. He "wanted it for his alt spec". The RL let him have it and he was never seen with it equipped. After that my friend and I refused to group with this guy and left the guild shortly after.

If you are raid leader and lets say you clear OS or something. If you take anything for yourself, the bag of spoils or your token, without rolling or anything. Is it reportable to Blizzard? Or do you just face the world knowing what you did and getting mad grief?
I was in a 25 man PuG in OS. When the boss was downed the
Staff of Restraint
dropped. The druid who was raid leader and loot master says "I deserve the staff for putting up with you noob losers" and took the staff. He was in one of the well respected raiding guilds on the server. I happen to know the GM of that guild. The next day when I noticed he was on I whispered him to ask about their policy on such matters. He replied "that clown was gkicked by my officers with in an hour. Do me a favor and let people know we don't tolerate crap like that, I worked to hard to build a good reputation for my guild to let it get ruined".
There were 10+ guilds represented in that raid, mostly people from raiding guilds that aren't in their guilds 25 man raid. Its a good story which has been widely circulated. The druid is still guild less. I check every couple of days. Until he switches servers, his raiding days are pretty much over. It doesn't matter much whether Blizzard will do anything once you are infamous. I hope he really likes his staff, because he's going to be paying for it for a long long time.

post 3.0 I was Tanking in Kara and the ML was a good friend of mine in RL well the tanking ring droped on aran I rolled and got 1 I said well it didn't matter as I was the tank anyway. Well a shaman rolled on it. Hey if it was a druid I could believe it. But then my friend said he did get a higher score. And I sat there and explained he was a shaman. Well I didn't get the ring. We went to the next boss. A hunter was ^&*!ed as well so I went in and was about to pull netherspite when I whispered him and told him to MD the ML and pull. We would then drop group and leave. So we MDed and he pulled we let everyone enter combat and we droped group. They all died very quickly while we sat their and laughed then right as we was about to aggro the timer hit 0 and we got ported to shatt. My ex-friend then psted me saying a bunch of mean stuff I ignored him. So he called me and he asked me why I did that. I explained and then hung up. A month later I finaly un ignored him and we ran kara again. he was very carefull that time. I got pretty much anything I wanted.Selfish much?

Agree. I would never run with you. And you would be lonely on my server when word got out of you pulling a stunt like that.
edit : I guess you are the worst ninja I could ever encounter
The saddest part of this story to me is the fact that you let a video game get in the way of your friendship. That's just sad, give me a break...although if the only reason you're friends is because of the game, well, I don't know what to say.
