The first pick up rolled need on it (the one we promised could have it if it dropped), and then, after about a minute, the second pick up rolled need on it and rolled higher. Hellreaver went into his inventory, he left the group and started hearthing out, all without a word.
Needless to say the guy we promised Hellreaver to was totally destroyed and righteously angry. We were all cussing the guy out but I'm sure he just put us on ignore. That was the worst ninja I ever encountered.
Just out of curiousity, do you recall what class the ninja was?

Worst ninja, I was in 10 man OS and we just downed the last boss. I'm the MT and so a tank ring drops, Signet of the Accord, and the OT already has the ring, so I'm thinking "WOOOOT!" cause big upgrade from my last ring, so I roll on it and the other tank rolls on it as well and wins, so I'm going "wtf man you already have it, unique-equiped, you can't use it" but they ignored me and I found out later he just gave it to his GM. That really sucked so much, I <3 expertise....
Edit: Beware of the guild Desperate Measures on the realm Kel'Thuzad, alliance side.

I remember I once nearly went on a sarth 25 run with a guy a named Deathuman. A rather infamous character on our server he mentioned he would be putting in 'loot restrictions' for all plate wears (he was a deathknight).
So all the mages, druids, and rogues shrug and say 'I'm not a plate wearer' while a couple of our plate wearers were so brain dead they didn't hear him.
I ended up leaving that run before it started and the next thing I know Deathuman has a pair of tier 7.5 gloves upon completing the run.
While I can understand falling victim to a decieving ninja, this is just a bit funny.

So a week ago i was doing my dailies and some guildies were hurting for a healer to do some heroics runs.
our GL is tanking this heroic group and in his desperation he offers to let me take 150g from the gbank to pay for respec and reglyph. I mainspec prot but since i'm the only pally in our guild's 10 man raid group, all the holy stuff auto-loots to me, so i have a respectable healy set
so i holy and we run through 3 or 4 heroics. Everyone is getting tons of badges and shards and we even get a few upgrades for peoples' offspecs. then we get to Heroic AN, down hadronox, the stam trinket drops. It's an upgrade for me, so i roll on it and win it.
All of a sudden my GL goes off. spouting off some bull about i stole it from him and mains before offspec and holy pallies dont use stam trinkets and blah blah. I tried to calmly explain that my main spec is prot, he knows that as he raids with me, but shouting and stupidity overcame reason and logic and the group quickly deteriorated.
With the group gone and no party chat to communicate in, he starts to attack me in guild chat (which i think the the worst thing a GL can do). He says in exchange for taking that trinket from us and hurting the raid (because i'm not going to equip it while tanking?) i have to sit out for a week.
Now I could have done many things at this point. i could have pointed out that i would use the trinket while tanking and since i'm not a mouth breathing retard, i'll get more use out of it than him. I could have pointed out the reason we only have one 10 man group running and no 25 man group running was the lack of tanks in the guild and forcing one to sit was equivalent to announcing that all raids were cancelled for the week.
Instead I did what I'm famous for on my realm. i wordlessly /gquit the second he #$%^ed me off and threw him on my ignore list Just so you guys know. I've quit probably half a dozen guilds on my realm, I've quit guilds mid raid because of stupid loot distribution. First sign of poor leadership and i leave, I dont believe in supporting stupidity.
So i left, i got a few whispers from my now former guildies saying they saw it coming and they agreed the GL was being a moron. I instantly put myself on the market. As a paladin who is capable of tanking and healing 25 man content, I feel i'm a fairly desirable addition to any raid guild.
However over the course of this last week I've discovered I'm blacklisted from nigh every guild on the realm, as my former guild leader has informed everyone that I "ninja from guildies"
so... any guilds out there need a tank or healer that i can transfer too? :P
So you dont believe in supporting stupidity but your post makes it apparent that you have practiced it often. Great!

Was in H HOL running for my epic 2h axe awhile back. It drops off of the end boss after 4 wipes and of course i was totally psyched.
The mage totally ninjas it, saying he "needed" it to compensate for his repair bill.
Afterwards he opens up trade, placing the axe in the "not to be traded" slot, demanding that i give him 200g compesation for it.
seriously WTF is up with some people?
And another time, back in the day (which was a wednesday)
I was running VC on one of my alts
A mage (stupid mages) ninjas Smite's mighty hammer, claiming that mages specialized in 2h maces
i LOL'd for about 1/2 an hour

"But when we kill Maexxna, the 'nightmare' begins: until that boss, every drop was clearly for 'pure dps', or 'pure healers/tank' (caster items with hit rating, plate with defense, etc), but now The Jawbone drops. A guildie of me was a fury warrior, decently equipped (where instead many members of other guild were in random blues, without sockets/enchants), se he hoped for a roll. But the master looter gave that mace to a dk tank who had a blue lv75 axe, while some of the other guild said "it's a tanking weapon"."
since I'm an avid reader, (and for today have nothing better to do :P) I read your whole wall-o-text.
quite sad story bro' but I have a doubt.
I'm still quite new, but unlike n00bs I DO have a real authentic desire to become a pro' and improve myself by learning all the "do's and don'ts" of the game.
that piece in your story (that I quoted here) has me confused.
can you explain to me why you felt the jawbone weapon was unfit of a DK tank?
I'm not saying your reasoning is incorrect, I'm simply confused.
a warrior tank needs a shield to tank, while DK's tank without a shield, thus they use either a 2-hander or dual-wield.
that mace has all the needs of a DK, it has expertise, it has vast amounts of STR, good STA and haste.
pretty much all a DK needs to make and keep aggro, and since his previous weapon was crappier than this one, then clearly the mace is an upgrade to his gear.
why would be wrong/incorrect to give that weapon to the DK, and instead give it to a fury warrior? don't they need stuff to increase DPS? the weapon is a tanking 2-hand weapon, and so far, the only class that uses a 2-hander to tank is a DK (with the exeption of druids of course)
I only ask, cause I'm a DK, but unlike the "Death-tards" that pollute this game, I do have a desire to stop being an amateur and become a real pro on the game.
