night elf can die.
First off they was immortal because they had a function world tree who gave them power to live forever. The world tree was powered with the blessing of four dragonflights. Then the tree in mount hyjal was destroyed, the night elf became mortal again. They tried to make a new world tree in Teldrassil but the tree died because it lacked two dragonflights blessing. Ysera the dreamer of the green dragonflight and Malygos of the blue dragonflight. Also the world tree in mount hyjal was powered with water from the well of eternity illidan had stolen, malfurion which grew a tree on the lake made it so night elf got power of immortality.
Second off the Immortality doesn't mean they was not killable, it just meant that night elf never grow old and died of age or died because they got diseases. They was still kill able by someone slaughtering them.
Drenai on the other hand is still immortal and does not die of ageing. It is debatable if it is because they worship the naaru and learned the path of light so deeply that the light sustain them or that they was a immortal race to begin with on their homeplantet argus.
Eredar and Drenai are the same race. The eredar was the one who followed the burning legion and was loyal to Archimonde and Kil'jaeden. The Drenai are the one who escaped argus before burning legion came and are loyal to Velen.
I am more inclined with the speculation that the drenai are immortal to start with because the eredar who are their cousin are also immortal. so that is a proof that the light or demon power is not that sustain them to not age.

Arthes never met Thrall or Tauren leader (cant remember name) so them 2 dont have to be included becasue tht would be weird and they have no intention of going to northrend. Also the king of stormwing and ironforge dont have to be either.
Jaina.
Uther.
Tiron.
Sylvannes.
Maybe Muradin ? but he and uther are dead so ?
1) The tauren chieftain's name is Cairne. Cairne Bloodhoof.
2) Arthas killed Bolvar. The King of the humans has a right to be ticked off at the guy who betrayed his entire race.
3) Muradin is not dead. He suffered a concussion and memory loss, but contrary to primary belief, he is not dead.
4) Magni Bronzebeard nearly lost a brother to him. Would you not avenge him?
5) There is a ghost of Uther, probably still has some power in him.

As for arthas' father... I have no ideas. I would just think it appropriate for him to appear, if only to talk or offer enlightment to the players.
His father could become be there, but since he had no prowess in battle, I don't know what he'd do. He could pull a Mograine on us and just BLAST his son with a lightning bolt, or simply toss the crown at him, bringing out the old Arthas' spirit. Something like..
Terenas Menethil yells: That's enough, my once loved son!
The Lich King yells: What?
Terenas Menethil yells: What have you done, my son? You have betrayed us all, left your once happy kingdom to ruin! Oh, how I wish I had listened to that prophet. This would never have happened to you.
Terenas Menethil yells: See what you have done, my son. See what ruin you have left.
Terenas throws the crown at The Lich King's feet.
<At this point, there would be another cutscene, showing all the important deaths and events that led up to
Arthas' point, possibly using phasing to show players specific events that occur during quests.>
The Lich King yells: This is enough! I do not need to know what has happened to my kingdom, nor do I care! I am unstoppable now, and nothing you say or do will stop me!
Arthas yells: EXCEPT ME!
The soul of Arthas rips from the body of The Lich King.
Arthas yells: I see now what I have become. I should never have taken that blade. I too should have listened to the prophet. Because of me the scourge nearly took over, and thousands of innocent lives have been taken. This madness shall cease.
<At like 10% all this would happen, and the last 10% would be easy mode. The players gain
Vindication of
Arthas
10x the hp, 2x the damage, and
Courage of the Menethil
healing for 2,000 every sec or something.>
The Lich King yells: Very well, I shall take advance to the final stage, even if it is a little premature.
The Lich King dies.
Arthas says: Well, that's it. We've done it.
Ner'zhul yells: NOT QUITE!
Ner'zhul emerges from the corpse of The Lich King.
Ner'zhul yells: You thought it would end if you took out my physical portion? You were very, very mistaken. For now I am released.. and the fury.. of ten THOUSAND YEARS.. is behind my back. Now, your fate is in my hands. And I chose..
Ner'zhul yells: To destroy it.
Uther the Lightbringer yells: Friends, I can only do one more thing to help you!
Uther's mace appears out of nowhere.
Arthas yells: And I.
Arthas' hammer appears out of nowhere.
Players then loot the hammer, and slay the lich king.
Ner'zhul's ghost drops to its knees.
Ner'zhul says: So, it.. is.. finished.. After 10,000 years, I.. am.. free.. I am free to finally rest..
Ner'zhul says: Kil.. Jaeden.. you.. must ultimately.. defeat.. defeat the demonlord.. He created me.. I created the scourge.. He has.. inherited.. my power.. my energy.. has.. returned.. to its... former... master..
Ner'zhul's ghost vanishes.
Uther the Lightbringer says: Well done, ladies and gentlemen. You have saved us from the scourge. For a while. But now we turn to a new enemy, a new destination. The Twisting Nether. Fret not, brothers and sisters, for I shall be with you to the end.
Arthas: As will I.
Terenas: And I.
..And THEN someone comes in and bails you out. And in a ghostly urn are some phat lewtz for the raid to roll on, deem hunter weps, and have rogues QQ over not winning.

DRAENEI and some more miss-spellings in there..
Illidan is much likely to either die (well he been killed by Maiev - and by some players but blizzard is full of bastards who won't let players get credit for anything - or be given another chance (not by kil'jaeden maybe by the Nathrezim or Sargeras whenever he wakes up :P)
All that you said about Night elves is true yes, but shorter :
Night elves were Demigods and they kicked ass before the tree died cause Archimonde hugged it. The new tree died also but not cause of Kil'jaeden, cause there were other Eredars to visit it (draenei :P) and they HUGGED IT TO DEATH!
Conclusion : Night elves are some modern-like freaks.
Draenei are the tree hugger race
High elves were smart to make they're own fount
I wuv Sylvanas
and most of all : ILLIDANS DED! LIVE WITH IT!

um.. nothing is left of Arthas, after the battle with Illidan, the Lich King realized that there was one more setback : that he was still human - so he took his heart out or something (as in a quest of Tirion Fordring) so even if Lich King would die, or be separated of Arthas' body, the body would be lifeless and the Lich King would probably reincarnate in him or in one of you fellow players (^^) or turn him in a ghoul (one with massive Hp since it'd be raised by the Lich King personally.

My hope is that Tirion is there, dies, and gets turned into a Death Knight that you then have to fight with him weilding the once again Corrupted Ashbringer.

Very cool scenario. This would be a sick fight.
Only thing that bugs me is where are Tirion and Darion? I think they deserve a shot at Arthas.
