Other side? What? It doesn't exist. You didn't think about it. No one ever did.
ZEBRA CORN JAMES SPADER TOM SELLECK LAQUINTA INNS AND SUITES.
The idea with Azeroth (and all of World of Warcraft for that matter) is it's in its own little world and time period. There's the use of zeppelins and sniper rifles but it's still plate armor, magical spells, and brutal wars fought with weapons by mythical creatures. So, the other side of Azeroth doesn't necessarily exist for this reason. Azeroth is supposed to just be a place. Not necessarily a round place like our earth.

There's no other side.
It is just like the earth we live in, let's say kalimdor is North and South America, and Eastern Kingdom is Asia & Europe. Pretend that Azeroth is similar to earth, Kalimdor will be on the back side of Azeroth and eastern kingdom on the front (Which is the other side), with maelstrom in between.

Azeroth is not flat, you can see it being round and that K and EK are not in the same side, if you look at the sky in black temple. I think the other side is just water :P

Azeroth is flat
Roundness is just a conspiracy created by the gnomes.

Okay, for a thread from 2008 and all...but as there are now sphere maps that show both sides of Azeroth, it is a case of Kalimdor being on one side, EK on the other, Northrend in the north, Pandaria in the south, and a lot of water all around.

Don't think Kal and EK are on exact opposite sides of the world. More like Western Europe to Eastern North America. Otherwise why navigate the treacherous ocean maelstrom. Since there is only one on the map, going the other way would have been much safer.
There is still much undiscovered.

It's the GM-Only world where everything is a pony and hogger is the final raid boss.
