wouldn't it be also handy to add a Compare button to every item's individual page? It's not truly necessary, but it's situationally helpful.
There is such a button already. I see you didn't read the

minor problem: the tooltip can not appear outside of the main container, if you have more than 8-9 item or 6 set columns, mouseovering the rightmost icons will show the tooltip away from the spot where it supposed to appear. with even more columns the tooltip stays out of the viewport.

Can anyone tell me what's the difference between "Item Camparsion tool" and Atlas Loot?

the first is a tool to compare items. the second is an in-game addon to browse the various loot tables.

For items that have a <Random enchantment>, is there any way to specify which enchantment to use for the comparison?
i.e. Murkblood Pants <of Healing>.

This is awesome! Request individual spec weights (instead of an entire tree) and DPS counters (for more than just weapons)
also would love to add gems to sockets, or in the mean time just let us add gems to groups so we can at least get the numbers
and character import :D
