Wowhead AddOns (Client/Looter) Issue? Report here!

I'll try to remember to re-enable the in-game looter, and try the client again when I get home. From memory, there is no error. It just prevents some quests from completing when clicking the Complete button. I know for sure that it happened on my Vulpera intro quest for both Vulpera that I created, where you go talk to the emissary guy, but would only complete once I disabled the looter. There were others, too, but that was the main one that I noticed.
Not sure if this has been reported anywhere, but this happens in Beta now. If Wowhead Looter is enabled, you cannot turn in quests. Not sure if anyone has been working on a version for 9.0 or not. I have not tried on PTR, to see if it has the same issue.

Having an issue with Uploading my game information using the Wowhead Client. When it gets to 15% completed it 'freezes' and then I get the error message: 'An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine'

Whenever the Wowhead client updates itself at system start, I have to tell it "Continue", using the mouse, to close the little window. Hitting "Enter" will not close the window even when it is the only window and in the foreground. Ideally, it should update itself in the background and require zero interaction from the user. Perhaps a setting could be added for that since some users will not like apps updating without being aware of it.

I have noticed recently that there is no data showing to be uploaded when I run my Wowhead client v 1.9.43
It does show the Shared Data Cache but after playing the game the Account specific data doesn't show in the client, however if I click upload something is uploaded and it gives me the upload complete pop-up
Here is the most recent log:
Thanks for using the Wowhead Client!
This is version 1.9.43, built on September 9, 2020.
Compatible with Battle for Azeroth, Classic, and Shadowlands.
Upload succeeded!
It said it uploaded 19.3kb

Could you show us your most recent log files with this problem? Just a link to the file or pastebin would be fine.
Thanks!

Do you have a screenshot of when this is happening? Thanks!

Hello, I am using the client with TBC Classic Beta. I think it's set up right automatically in the options (the directory is correct) and it seems to be uploading data correctly when I log out.
I have an issue when I go to the Interface menu when I have the Wowhead Looter addon loaded (this is the only addon I have loaded, and when I disable it I don't have the issue). Is this a known issue, or do I have a wrong version of the addon for the TBC beta?

Windows Defender flags this for me as well.

There is an update about an hour ago, can you check that again?

I've been running the wowhead looter for years without issue. Today Windows Security (Windows 10) popped up warning me that a severe threat had been quarantined. I figured maybe a fresh install of the looter would help, but just downloading the client triggers the same trojan warning. More details from the warning below:
Threat Blocked: 4/7/2021 5:20 PM

This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.

We have just pushed a new build that should fix this false threat security detection. Please let us know if that's fixed for you too. Thanks!

Hey, I'm using the Wowhead Looter addon with the TBC Beta Client.
I noticed that when I visit a trainer, spells that are available to train are not listed despite having "Available" selected from the drop-down box. I found that un-selecting "Available" and selecting it again is a work-around.
I thought it was a client issue, but disabling add-ons caused the problem to go away. When I enabled just the Wowhead Looter addon, the problem returned.
The addon version is v20501.

Hi there. I cannot reproduce the problem. Can you give us more details? For instance, which trainer npc, what skills are you having this problem? Maybe also a screenshot if possible?
Thanks again.

On Beta, I made a level 58 template night elf druid character. I complete the quest to talk to the trainer Theridran, then do the quest to equip a weapon, and then I have the quest to train a spell from the trainer. If I talk to the trainer, Entangling Roots (rank 6) should show in the list of spells offered by the trainer. It's not visible in the list, though it's oddly still selected in the lower part of the UI and can be trained apparently.
For the drop-down filter box in the top right of the class trainer UI, I only had "Available" selected from choosing that option on another character.
I found that if other options were picked from the drop-down filter box, I could replicate the problem by making sure Available was checked and un-checking everything else. Then I did a /reload and talked to the trainer, and Entangling Roots was not listed (though it does populate in the lower part of the UI). If I logged out, disabled the Wowhead looter from the addons list, logged back in, and talked to the trainer, Entangling Roots is listed under the Balance tree like normal.
With only Wowhead Looter add-on enabled:

With no add-ons enabled:

Also, I noticed the Wowhead Client does not correctly recognize the Classic or Retail PTR. Even when I manually select the folder (the same way I did for the beta), it tells me the path is invalid.
Thank you for your time!

Thanks for the detailed explanation! We're able to reproduce it. We're working on a fix. Funny enough there's also a bug on Blizzard's end regarding this. So I've reported that to Blizzard too and hopefully this will all be fixed very soon!
Also Wowhead Client should now recognize Classic PTR properly. Although for Retail PTR it should already be working. Is it still not working for you?
