I'm having an issue uploading.
It shows:
Upload failed.
Private server data detected.
Click OK
Then:
Will you allow Wowhead Client to rename your World of Warcraft cache directory to 'Cache.<random_MD5>.DELETE_ME'?
Doing this will remove any incorrect data the client may have seen while connected to a private server.
This will not alter the performance or behavior of WoW.
Click: Sim / Não
Edited:
I just cleared the PTR folder and I could upload with no issues.

I'm also getting the Authentication Failure on the Mac client. Tried changing my password, but it still doesn't work.

Can you try changing your password again here:
https://www.wowhead.com/account#personal
Then, visit the client options and provide your username Kharthus and your password, let me know what happens.(##RESPBREAK##)258##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##

That worked, but I was able to break it again. Once the client doesn't like a given password it goes into some state and only a new password will work after that. Thanks for the help. At least I know I can recover it if it happens again.

Receiving the invalid status code: 500 whenever I try to upload data.

I am also getting the "500" error.

Invalid status code: 500 here as well. I haven't uploaded in a long time though (I had problems before and couldn't be bothered to try to fix it then) so my file is quite large. 2.3MB compressed.

It's doing it to me too, Sas. I've deleted everything related to the Looter, and still gives me "Invalid Wowhead credentials" even after changing the password. Also running Mac client like the other posters.

My Client has been "having a problem" and being closed by Windows recently, has happened at least twice so far. When I'm done playing I reopen it and can upload no problem however.
Update: Just played without any issue, so whatever it was may not be an issue any more. Will come back if I see more issues.
Update: Just happened again, first run after the new WoW patch.

Ditto here on the Mac client issues. Current version of client, current version of OSX. Authentication has been failing for some time, perhaps days or even weeks. Tried changing my Wowhead pw; still no luck. Tried deleting all Looter files and folders from WoW and deleting client as well, then re-downloading and doing a clean install. Still no luck. Very frustrating. Haven't been able to upload in a while.

I am still having issues, I've gone so far as to remove anything with Wowhead in a search (including hidden files) as well as just deleting and reinstalling WOW altogether and I cannot authenticate with the Wowhead client on my Mac. I'm not certain, but this may have started when I installed High Sierra. Or it's a coincidence.
I changed my password (twice) at Wowhead.com and I don't authenticate through Blizzard.
My windows client is working fine, but I do my warcrafting on my Mac, so this is very disappointing.

I installed wowhead on my laptop, also running High Sierra, and it also fails to authenticate. I'm not a computing genius, but this seems to indicate that for some unknown reason, I now have TWO Macs running the same OS that are unable to authenticate with the wowhead tool. I can accept that the problem is that I'm running the latest operating system. I am having trouble accepting that the service I pay for in order to help wowhead do it's thing isn't giving me meaningful (any) advise as to how to resolve the issue.
Just sayin'
I misspelled advice. I think I've spent too much time looking at UK literature lately.

I see you uploaded data yesterday. Hmm, I'm not sure what the issue could be here but send me an email to so I can look into testing this myself w/ your account. Thanks!

With many thanks to wowhead in general, (specifically Stephen) I am again able to log into the client on my Mac. I take back any mean words I may have typed, and I appreciate the help. I was given a temporary password to log in, and using that in conjunction with my main username (not email address) and that password, I got in.
I may have been under the influence of a
Wiley's Wicked Ale
or three wen I typed those cranky words earlier.

Wowhead Client is now refusing to update, giving "End of File." As I'm able to come to the forums, the problem is not my internet, and if it's a wowhead issue it isn't affecting the main site. Log below.

EDIT: wtf... and it suddenly decides to work seconds after I post... okay...

I've been playing with the client (and addon) for several days, and there are some issues I have with MacBook Pro, High Sierra 10.13.3, Wowhead client 1.2.2.
First, I have to go in to my keychain and delete the wowhead app key every time before I launch the app, or it does not like my username & password -- "Authentication failed".
After I launch the app. I have to go in and set my username and password again. It refuses the regular wowhead username (authentication failed), but works with email address instead of username (authentication succeeded).
However, when I launch and play Warcraft for a while, several hours, then log out again, it just says "Nothing to upload to the server". I have not gotten it to upload anything since i started using it this week.
Then, the client tries again after a while to authenticate and upload, it gets "authentication failed" again, even though I have not exited the client, and I have not changed the login information in the client. The only way to resolve the authentication issue at this point, is quit - delete key - relaunch - enter email address & password.
Then, it still doesn't show there is any data to upload...
There is definitely some kind of keychain issue with the mac client. I noticed once when I tried to use my username instead of email addreess, I exited and came back, and it changed my username to "wowrudy" instead of my actual username... I deleted the key and it remained as "wowrudy" until I set my email address. It saved my email address, but failed authentication until I deleted the key...
i have used the client in the past, and i don't really remember having any problems then. thought i would try using it again, but haven't gotten it to do anything all week...
just some log stuff from today...

{update 02/13} decided to try again tonight. after authentication failed again, i gave the client my wowhead username and password, which it accepted but would not upload. i quit, and reloaded, and authentication worked without me having to delete the key this time, or manually reset it.
still gives me a weird message about SavedVariables but it actually uploaded to wowhead this time. I guess maybe it's resolved? i'll update i guess if it fails again or gives authentication errors again.
incidentally, through this entire process, the "Upload" button has never worked until now -- it was always disabled. the app really needs a UI update, though, as the button is teh same color as teh background and has black text so is very hard to read.

Hey there,
similar problem here, I'm also on Mac (latest macOS). I have to delete the Wowhead client key from my keychain everytime before I start the Wowhead client, otherwise it won't let me in. The funny thing is that it uploads the WOW data then (just as it is supposed to), but immediately after the upload, it says "Authentication failed".
Then the fun starts over, I have to close the client, delete its keychain entry, start the client, input my password. Upload starts, then again I get the dreaded "Authentication failed" message.
Changing the wowhead password doesn't help, already tried that.
Can you guys help?
