Can't update the client, and I am guessing that would be where the logs were at. I attached a pic showing what I am seeing.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##

That's a new one Roughrdr. We'll take a look. Thank you.

I got it to update, but had to disable all security on computer. Looks like a recent update to my antivirus suite was blocking it for some odd reason. I drug out an old laptop and it updated just fine on it, so I wondered what was blocking it on my new pc, yep, Avast.
Alls good now.

Thank you Roughrdr. I was actually in the process of trying to send you a manually updated file so I'm glad you got it to work because Google didn't like me trying to attach it to an email.
Issues Updating?
Try ensuring your computer's security settings, like Avast, aren't interfering.

I've had an issue with the client for the past two years now where the client sometimes crashes when I launch WoW. It has happend on two different pc's, (old with Windows 7 64bit, new one with Windows 10 64bit, both Swedish editions).
I've tried re-downloading the wowhead client file, removed the registery entries and removed the +wowhead folder within my WoW game folder (the game folder and wowhead client's file are on different drives). If I have the wowhead client up when I launch the game, it does give me a half English half Swedish error message (see link below), and Windows' event-viewer spits out error for the crashes.
Anyone have any ideas how to solve this?

Are you running the client as administrator? That may solve your issue. However, I wonder if the Swedish version of Windows is somehow interfering, based on your own thoughts on the subject. I sometimes have the issue you describe but often running it as administrator solves the problem.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##

Yes, I do run it in admin-mode (after every reboot, I close the auto-started client, then re-launch it by right-clicking and choosing "Run as admin") and it keeps happening.
EDIT: I've now also found the setting for it to always start in admin-mode. Pretty sure that won't help, but who knows.

Hello,
I'm running the client in admin mode, have switched off all antivirus that I can find, but I am still getting the No such host is known error message:
No such host is known
Hitting Retry does nothing that I can see, clicking cancel brings up the following:
Cancel
From here, clicking no takes me back to the previous box with no changes, and yes exits as it would suggest.
I have tried reinstalling from the site, restarted a million times, nothing seems to be working.
Is there any more info I could provide to help fix the issue?

I have the same issue as Flamma.
Curiously enough this only happens on autostart. When I start the program manually with the wowhead_client.exe, everything is fine. Since I'd like it to start automatically it's a bit annoying though.
Regarding the reinstall - does it suffice to just remove the old exe file or does it create other files on the computer that should be deleted for a clean re-install?

I am also having the same issue as DarkLimpan: the wowhead client will exit immediately upon starting the game client. However, I am running the US version of Windows 10 x64. It's occurred intermittently over the last few years (started around Windows 8, I think), but now it's been happening consistently since the most recent update.

Good day, dear WoWHead ! I have an issue with "Wowhead Client". As I came back from the trip I can't use it anymore. When I'm trying to upload any data it gives me this message: Upload failed: Invalid status code: 503. My client is fully updated. I read here the guys had 500 problem, but you tried to fix it by your Software Engineers. But please
don't wake up
anyone for that reason :) I really need it, but not so urgent :) I thought about reinstalling it, but after reading the comments here, don't think it will work.

A 503 would likely be a temporary issue with the server. Can you try again tomorrow and let me know if it continues? Thank you.

I seem to have an issue with the wowhead client. It gives me an error window where it say "Wowhead is unable to process your upload at this time. Please try again in a bit!". No error code, only very generic. It's been happening most of today. Any ideas?

Same here for past 18 or some hours i think. This is the error.

Edit:- It seems to be uploading 100% and then gets stuck at finalizing for about 15 secs then gives the error.

Hey guys/gals, if you're seeing the Upload error described in the last two posts, there's a workaround posted in the 'Known Issues' list in the original post here:
http://www.wowhead.com/forums&topic=254531#p3978600
Give that a shot please. Thank you!

Hi Sas148. Yup, that seems to have fixed it. So I guess that lua-file can't be bigger than (roughly) 1mb, I take it? I didn't know it would keep growing in size. :(
Are there any way to shrink that lua-file, or remove data that have been uploaded once already?

I've been trying to upload for 3 days now. I get the "Wowhead is unable to process your upload at this time." error every time I try. I've waited for a bit and tried again, but to no avail. Suggestions?
I'm getting this problem too. The website seems to think I uploaded data though.
Also having this issue. Deleting the wowhead looter files in savedvariables folder of my account has worked. Lots of lost data though, very sad.
Got this error too since this morning, but while looking through the logs I noticed the following:
Thanks for using the Wowhead Client!
This is version 1.9.10, built on
March 28, 2018.
Compatible with Legion.
WoW is now running.
WoW exited. Auto-uploading...
Upload failed: Server timeout.
Are we actually using a client from the future? :P
Btw, first time I'm getting this error since I started to use the client in December 2014, no other solution than deleting the saved variables?

Deleting Looter files worked as described in that post. Files size was 3xx KB each tho, 647KB for both. Not sure if its considered too big but I have 2 a/cs and both added upto 1200+KB for all 4 files.

It's stopped to upload for me again, the size of the uploaded file is 296.1kb but the total size of the file is 832kb. The size of the first file that caused this issue were an upload size of 329.4kb with a total filesize of 1039kb.
I hope this info helps.
