Too bad we won't have anything to do for weeks. I'm very disappointed but at least I can finally free my bank, bags and void. I still can't believe I'll have empty bags 😂

So the Demon Invasions won't begin with the start of the pre-patch? Why? What content will the pre-patch actually bring to start with then? Just the class/UI changes and wardrobe? Will we just be sitting around for two weeks?
We've been sitting around for months and months, I think 2 weeks isn't so bad at this point!
I've already said I was talking purely in terms of pre-patch content, as a genuine question.

I think there are some other events available during the prepatch:
Dalaran moving to the new zone. At some point i think Dalaran will be over Karazhan
Khadgar taking over the kirin tor, and making Jaina leave
Also the doomsayers may start spreading their news

What complete and utter BS this is. Every player in the game realizes that OBVIOUSLY both the Demon Invasions AND the Demon Hunter class won't be released until exactly August 17th (August 16th if Blizzard likes the US based players at all). And anyone who has a brain knows that Blizzard won't release the 7.0 patches until two weeks prior meaning as of RIGHT NOW we, your oh so loyal player base, won't see anything worth while from the so-called "Pre-patch" for SIX MORE DAMN WEEKS!
Or they could be planning to release on the 19th, or a week after, and the August 17 date is a buffer in case they need to work out a lot more bugs.
I'd hate to see what your blood pressure tests look like.
I may play WoW but I will NEVER stop talking about what a piss poor company Blizzard is.
I'm sure they appreciate you for exactly what you're worth.

Why the hell is Blizzard wasting our time?
Here is a better question: Why is Square Enix doing so much better than Blizzard? Why is Final Fantasy XIV doing so much better than Warlords of FAILURE? Answer: Because its creators swore ON CAMERA they would never screw with their fan base ever again. That they would devote their time and effort to consistently keep their game current and fresh. Maybe if Blizzard could learn from Square Enix and do the same with their game, perhaps then it's fan base would be more supportive of the company and its subscription numbers wouldn't drop in such large quantities each quarter.
You want to see what devotion to a game/fan base? Look at Final Fantasy XI, a game that was started in 2002 and still to this day, 14 YEARS LATER, receives monthly or bi-monthly updates and events that keeps the game both fresh and current. Even if it's player base is small, a game that old still receives attention and content from its creators. Blizzard can't say they do that because THEY DON'T! They don't care about the game and they certainly don't care about a it's player base.

Blizzard makes really good games, period.
Overwatch is the best FPS game I've ever played
Hearthstone is super addicting
Diablo franchise was awesome
and then there's WoW, still the best MMO out there.
Say what you will about Blizzard, none of it matter to me, since I just ask myself, "are their games fun to play?" Hell Yeah they are.

So can you REPEAT an invasion? Like do all four stages in one area... go to the next and repeat all four stages. RINSE/REPEAT and go back to the first one. Heck even stick around maybe.
Any sort of TIMER like a daily reset or something?
The invasions are up for about 1.5 hours in each area. Once you've completed it you can't do that instance of the invasion again until the timer runs out and after a while the invasion will appear there again and you can do it again.

Someone should put up a guide of how to get to each of the six locations in the quickest way for each faction, especially if you aren't a mage.

For Alliance, the Cataclysm portals in Stormwind are fairly good, You can portal to Uldum and fly to Tanaris. You can portal to Hyjal for Azshara and Northern Barrens unless you take the teleporter from Shrine. For Horde, the way may be to take the portals to Blasted lands for Westfall and Zeppelin to Tirisifal and fly down to Hillsbrad and Dun morogh.

An alternative for Tanaris would be to use the portal to Dalaran at the Shrine, then from Dalaran use the Caverns of Time portal.

Unless you're a mage, that's the best location no matter what.

That, and making sure everything is working how they want.
As for why people are uptight about it: they're unable to appreciate what they have. Betcha someone will burn through the invasion content as fast as possible and then complain of boredom.
