Erin Laidlann
Takaneko City, Professor's House
Erin carefully drew her sword, taking up position beside the door, ready to strike when it opened.

Jayjay nodded, continuing along. "Alright then. Guess we'll just have to pay him a surprise visit."

Asher led the way down the stairs, quietly stepping down them until they reached the bottom. They were in a short hallway with another door at the end. Light was shining under it, and they could hear voices.
"...tell us where it is, we're not going to let you leave," a rough voice said. "In fact, we might just have to take you with us to make sure."
"Please," another voice gasped out. Asher flinched, recognizing it as the professor's. "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just looking at the-ugh!" A dull thud of fist striking flesh sounded through the door, followed by the professor's forced exhale as the wind was knocked from his lungs.
"Get out of here!" Asher roared, knocking the door open and rushing into the room. Three people stood there: the man from the photo, a woman with short blonde hair and another man wearing a ski-mask and jacket. All three of them looked up as Asher entered the room, their surprise obvious.
The man from the photo grabbed the professor (hooded and tied) and pulled him out the basement door into the backyard. The woman reached into the bag next to her, while the man in the ski-mask jumped back in obvious shock. Without wasting any time, Asher tackled the woman away from her bag. "Get the professor!" he yelled as she started raining blows on him.

Erin grunted again, rushing forward with her sword gripped in both hands, charging as the man attempting to escape.
Approaching, she made a wide upwards, her blade far to the side in an attempt to force the man against the opposite wall.

"Fancy." Jayjay smiled, continuing onwards.
Eventually, they rounded the warehouse, getting a look at the full ship.

Rounding the warehouse confronted the group with an immense yacht bobbing at the mooring lines. Bright white, it fairly shone in the sunlight, the golden gilt running about it actually gleaming. The name emblazoned upon the side declared it to be 'The Capital Sum!' including exclamation point. A long plank with velvet rope ran down to the dock, and at its foot a group of men were clustered. Most were dressed in smart, proper business suits and black tinted glasses, their hair short and slicked, but one amongst their number eschewed the conservative dress and appeared to be dressed in an immense brown fur coat. Blonde roots and black hair were visible on his head, and only this as his back was to them.
"That's him," Tell said. "The one in the fur."

"Have some faith in me." Janet replied, stopping several yards away and waving an arm high in the air. "Yoo-hoo, Mr. Crassus? Please be the right ship." She sighed, hurriedly approaching, making no attempt to hide her nervousness.

Akira took his hands out from his pockets and simultaneously transformed them to steel. The young adult dashed forwards and with his hands of metal he tried to rip the man from the photo like a siberian tiger would use it's claw on a prey.
Now was the time for counterattack and the enemy shall not escape.

The man in the fur coat pricked up his ears and turned. The trio were at once confronted by a golden grill set in the front of his teeth with the word 'CASH' written on them. The fur coat he wore seemed to swallow him, and around his waist could be seen a belt dotted by precious stones and an immense buckle made of silver. On every finger was no less than two bejeweled rings which clicked and rang with the purity of the metals composing them. The suit he wore beneath the coat was undeniably tacky, being a bright golden colour and whose every pocket bulged.
The man sneered arrogantly, showcasing his grill. His feet wide apart and head cocked cockily to the side, he examined the approaching people. "Oi! 'ou 'r you lot then?"

Janet stared a moment. "Why, our mutual friend, of course." She stated, the ribbon-like cloth falling from the back of her top swaying in the breeze. "What, do you fear some poor scrubs would be able to track you down in some futile attempt at your life?" She giggled.
She stopped suddenly, collecting herself. "Sorry, such thoughts plague me sometimes." The girl offered a polite smile. "Over-active imagination, you understand."

Kaufor cocked a brow, his entire face now leering as it seemed to angle in one direction. "Aw, oi get 't now." He straightened, hunkering back in his shoulders and fur coat. "You lot 'r with that King fellah eh? Well that's prime! Tell ya what!" His hand went it a pocket and came out with a wad of bills. With a flick of the wrist he spread them like a fan. With a %^&* eating grin, grill sparkling, he leaned back, gently fanning his blonde and black hair. "I can't say oi'm too intrasted ta join some posh with a title a king. King's 'r old news. Is money that makes the world go 'round these days. So how much 'll it take fer you lot to join my side 'nstead?"
As he spoke, the five men in suits circumspectly let their hands drift to pockets, hips, and the opening of their jackets fronts.

Jayjay grinned. "Kings command more than money." She commented. "They command power. Presidents, dictators, generals? They come and go." She waved a hand. "Kings are rulers for life..."
She swayed her hip to the side, one of the pouches on her belt opening and the handgun within glistening in the light.

Though they had the element of surprise, the kidnappers weren't exactly helpless. The man pulling the professor dropped him and crossed his arms in an X in front of him. A blast of wind blew from behind him and into Erin, strong enough to push the professor across the ground and laden with branches, dust and leaves.
The lamp hit the ski-mask guy, which had the unfortunate side effect of shaking him out of his shock. With a flick of his hand, the room was suddenly coated in a flash frost. Mist began to obscure the air and the floor became slick.
The woman, seeing that her comrades reveal themselves, turned back to Asher and grinned. The wooden floor sprouted multiple tendrils to hold him down, while below him it became wickedly spiked.
Crap, crap crapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrap
. Asher arched his back, pulling away from the spikes briefly. "That's not going to help," the woman said with a laugh, leaning in to punch him again.
"No, but this will," he gasped out, and his body shivered. It began to elongate like a snake, slithering out from between the grasping branches and back onto the floor.
The woman hissed and drew back. "Yee naldlooshi," she spat at him, pulling a knife from her belt and eyeing him warily.

"Real kings don't exist these days. It's the law a money that runs this world. Kings ah done. Capitalism rules." He flashed the fan of bills before his face and peered over it at the trio. "So what's ya answer?"
