Yes I know it's silly but she still creeps me out.
this. first thing I thought of when I saw this thread.
I'd always found the deal with Pamela Redpath to be very sad: this hopeful little ghost girl in a clearly hopeless situation she doesn't understand, not really aware she's dead. Heartwrenching.
As for creepy places, I remember back in Vanilla when I first got to Darkshore. After the enchanting environment in Teldrassil, I remember finding Darkshore so creepy! I actually journeyed all the way to the Dwarf area in order to avoid questing in Darkshore!
Another creepy place that couldn't be accessed earlier on due to requiring a flying mount is
the Whispering Forest in Tirisfal Glades
. Once every six hours, fey dragons gather around this ring of mushrooms and sing to open a portal.

Vashj'ir is by far the creepiest place in the game for me. Even the music there is creepy. The thought of being deep in the ocean is sickening, and the 3D movement is also sickening.
The emerald portals used to be scary before the dragons were removed from them.
The Unseen in Duskwood freaked me out the first time I encountered them.
Shadowmoon Valley, especially the mines where you do the dailies.
The passage in Gilneas that is crawling with rats.

Vash´jr for me is the most soothing place in WoW actually.
The only potential scary things there for me are the giant demi gods, the huge whale and the Abyssal Breach.
I don´t really get scared anymore in WoW, but i used to back in the day.
The first creepy encounter for me was the giant Emerald Dragon in Ashenvale and the one in Duskwood. Mostly because vision range was limited back then, and a few steps before i stood before the portal, the giant Emerald Dragon suddenly appeared, and that creeped me out so much. Another thing are the "demon children" in Elwynn, i even logged in early in the morning to witness their gathering after a friend told me about them, and it was so frightening in itself, but when the C´thun voice appeared, i freaked out. Also the giant snake tail in Gundrak. I was casually looking around the instance in one run, and suddenly there was this giant snake tail, i was so frightened.
Oh, and also the Karazhan crypt obviously. But i don´t think many people know about it.

I think Whispering Forest is a creepy place especially after watching the weirdest video ever with a zombie voice actor talking about how that place has a pokemon 4ever reference. I suggest you guys watch it however, if you get annoyed with the voice, just mute and watch the images and the text that pops up on the screen. you should be able to understand that way.
