I always wanted to be a writer, but somewhere along the line reality set in and I realized that banking a future on this wasn't a smart idea. Atm I'm a student, on my way to becoming a lawyer.

And, what you continue to fail to gleam, is that I was talking to EluraE about a different matter. She said the word Asian was offensive, and in an email brought it up in comparison with the words "Ch**k N***er and F**got. She wasn't making that a comparison, but that's what I took from it. My response, was in the thread, saying that people who were proud of their overlying Asian culture (and again, you don't speak for all Asians) might want to use the term.
LOL no, that did not happen. I only brought those up because you said the term "asian culture" already exists, and I said those already exist too, doesn't mean they're okay. If it came off as me saying they were the same, I'm sorry. I was only using very clear examples of things that people use that they shouldn't. I don't think the word asian is offensive at all, I think the term asian culture is because it implies there is such a thing when really, there isn't.
To answer the question, I wanted to be the president of the united states. I am not.

No i said right there bolded you weren't making that comparison. That's just what I mistook it as at first.

#2 - As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up, and did you fulfill your dream, or come out on a totally different path?
To answer my own question;
I wanted to do something with computers. I was working with computers and tinkering with them every since my first computer when the windows 98 was released (I was 6 years old).
Learning how they worked, spent a lot of time on the computer etc.
I eventually started making very basic homebrew games using free software. I made a platformer, top down puzzle, and top down RPG (pokemon style with Zelda characteristics).
Though my passion for making games slowly died off as I went to high school. Since like... what Uni course would I do to become a game designer, right? (at the time nothing reallly existed other than IT courses).
Till on my final year of highschool I found a private college in the city that actually specialises in all areas of Game Production (Programming, Animation, Art, Design).
I thought that was really awesome, and in my own city, woot. Well I went to this
private college
for 1 year, learned Design, bailed out after that year to self teach myself the rest.
Though I'm currently spending a lot of my time working and not enough time on my Game Design work. I still will dedicate my life to becoming a great Game Designer.
Next person to talk about the previous question gets the
Cane on their hands

Hoping to become an animator, but the animation program here is super competitive.
On the bright side, if I make it in I'm almost guaranteed a job. Pixar and Dreamworks both recruit heavily from my school.
And if I don't make it into that, I'd like to be the middle man between programmers and the management, knowing enough to do both.

#2) I've done many things. Being a conservation/wildlife ranger didn't pay the bills, and I didn't have the paperwork for the good jobs. Tree surgeon? Found out that I don't like heights. Next project: Special Needs assistant. Helping kids with schoolwork. Bring 'em on. I'll be great!

#3 going away for a few days, so feel free to put up any questions until I get back (Saturday). I'm off to a music festival (Willie Clancy week in Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare, Ireland). I'm not a big fan of standing in a field wasted, then having to use the portaloo.
What festival would you go to>? Why? I'd chance Burning man, the Venice carnival, and Kumh Mela.

If you could choose your last meal, what would it be?

Choosing a last meal as such would mean I know I am going to die and most likely how I am going to die. And the mean I would choose depends on the method of death, if it was going to be a very painful drawn out death then can I say I would eat a bullet? If it was quick and painless then maybe cookies and a few other treats that I like.

Ok, back from holidays. Let's call this 16/7/2013. I was chatting to a friend on the phone today, and I'm going to get all of my caving gear back out, after 12 years, and explore the caves of Western Ireland.
What old hobby/interest did you stop doing, for any reason, and have always had a secret longing to do again? No dirty jokes please: I can hear you thinking. Jedi mind trick.

Play WoW, or even start playing the Yu-Gi-Oh duel monsters game irl. There's a local hobby shop in town that does both and seems like a place to meet new people.

Pottery. It's not a secret that I would love to start it up again, but a matter of budget and space.

Pottery is on the bucket list (hee haw!) in seriousness, I've refined river clay through a t shirt, mixed it with wood ashes and dried grasses, and fired a coil pot on an open fire based river clay kiln (a hazel stick that burned away was the hole for the chimney), but nothing serious. A friend paid two grand sterling for a secondhand professional kiln...

Playing other games than wow. Pre-wow i played a lot of those. Shooters, RPG's, puzzlers, racing...everything. Obviously it's easy enough to pick up again, but since i started playing wow some 4 years ago, i haven't really found the time to play anything else. Between work, wow and social stuff, there's just not much room for other games right now.
I've tried, but i'd always find myself playing wow a short while later. I've yet to finish Skyrim, AC Brotherhood and 3, Bioshock 2 and Infinite, Arkham City, ME3...and various other games i bought and was looking forward to, but some are still sealed and most haven't been played longer than a few hours.
But it doesn't really bother me either. Over the course of 4 years, playing wow has probably saved me a lot of money in terms of games i didn't buy....
