Celene, one way or another, managed to drag the marine out of the bar and towards the more magically-inclined are of the city.
Buildings rose up, shading what was more or less a wide alleyway and trapping it in perpetual darkness. Glows of all colors and intensities flowed from tents and booths pitched up, densely packed crowds moving their way along.
Samantha Ahren, Praegosa
Plaguewood
Pray gulped as the ship lifted up, carrying them away from the battle. The loading ramp closed slowly, cutting off their view of the retreating forces; men who would have to make it back to the
Ares
on foot.
Admiral Noname
Ares
"What do you think?" One of the marines asked.
"Send them in with an escort." Another replied.
The three looked at each other, putting up their hands and entering a brief game of rock paper scissors to decide who that escort would be.
Ferin Hopewell, Alana Greyfang
Sillithus
Ferin's arms lit up with the glow of runes. "Really, invisibility?" He asked, slamming his fist into the ground. Sand rolled upwards; the shaman attempting to smoke the Templars out.
Alana glanced around at the four-legged machines now surrounding them. "Huh..." She commented, quickly running over to one. Bringing her hands up, she removed one of her gloves and poked the sleek, blue metal of the stalker.

In all the dust and chaos, it was impossible to see the Templar's movements; which made it all the more surprising when the haft of a warp scythe struck at Ferin's neck.
There was a whooshing sound, and a gold and green aircraft pulled into the air, moving directly at Cora. What were obviously guns on its wings began to charge, and it loosed several blasts of dark green energy at the drake.
"Sounds like a plan," Zach said with a nod, moving towards the door on the opposite end of the room.
After snagging some gear himself, of course.
He opened the door to show another hallway, though this one was obviously damaged. The lights were mostly off and several of the rooms had doors which seemed to have been blasted open. "Living quarters?" Zach mused, peeking in one room, after assuring that it was empty.

The
Ares
"Unfortunate," officer Webster commented while trailing a finger over the drawing of their immediate surroundings. "One hundred and eighty millimetres of dissatisfaction is not thrown around lightly," he added lowly, more to himself than to anyone else.
"We have sensors, have we not?" he then asked more loudly, to the room in general - mostly to the crewmen close by - without looking up from the map, as if he was still studying it intently.
Frederich Savin
The
Prometheus
Fred continued to roam around the hallways of the crashed ship, from time to time diving into a room fulfilling some particular function (or not fulfilling it, as it were, until he had had his way with it) or prying open a hatch to tinker with the conduits behind. What effects it had on the ship in general none could say.

Loki sighed. "Listen smart ass." He said. "If any of your technology runs on the same thing that the thor we where working on it's not going to last long. The minerals and whatever you use don't exists on this planet and suitable replacements are going to take awhile to find." He said and pointed to the communication relay. "So if you want to keep that stuff running cut the crap and I'll show you how to keep it running long after you burn threw your own supplies."
Character: Sylos and Sandra Lightrunner
Location: Ares
"What are they doing?" Sandra asked.
"This is a bad idea." Sylos added putting his sword away.
Character: Calin Greyfang
Location: Silithus
Calin grabbed her daggers and threw them at the protoss she could see.

Celene made her way to one of the booths, shoving her way through the crowd and pulling herself up until she was sitting on the counter in front of the Goblin merchant. The green creature raised an eyebrow at her.
"Yeah, what'cha want?" He asked.
"Well, was hoping you might have some naga scales."
"Maybe, I'm hoping you've got fifty gold." The Goblin shrugged.
"How about ten?" Celene asked.
"You crazy kid?" The Goblin asked. "Do you know what naga scales
are
?"
"I know a lot of goblins like to scam amatures with overpriced basilisk scales." Celene replied.
The shopkeeper grumbled. "Thirty gold."
"I'll do twenty-seven, if you throw in some information." Celene replied.
"What sort?" The man asked, gathering some scales into a sack.
"We're looking for a healer, any idea where we might find one?"
"Light thumpers built up a church on the upper walkways." The Goblin said, taking the gold as Celene dropped in on the counter and handing her the sack. "Might check their, but I hope you have a lot more gold than this for those tight-wads. If you're looking for a hippie, might try the inn; or out in the jungle."
"Got it." Celene nodded, dropping off the counter. "Pleasure doing business with you."
"Yeah, go take a long walk of the short pier..." The greenskin muttered, wiping off where she had sat with a rather grimey rag.
William Triberk, COLA
Prometheus
"Well how about this." Triberk stated. "First, I get this place operational. Then, you can show me your mind boggling steam engine or whatever it is you use to power things." He said, waving his hand.
"Mostly so the monkies can stop bugging me and go do useful things." He added, climbling back up to the top of the command center.
Admiral Noname
Ares
The losing marine grumbled. "Fine..." He said, turning to the two natives. "Come on you two, the Admiral will want to see you." He said.
Ferin Hopewell, Alana Greyfang
Sillithus
Ferin was sent sprawling back, coughing. Getting back up slowly, the Half-Elf shook his head. "Well, that's admittedly more effective than I was expecting..." He stated, changing tactics.
Lightning sprawled up his arms, shocking outwards around him as the shaman closed his eyes, attempting to feel the air and the wind for the movements of the Protoss.

Calin's knives bounced off of the Stalkers, the only visible protoss, who began to open fire on the exposed kids.
The Phoenix's shields flared a bright blue, but it continued to fire bursts of energy unabated.
The lighting knocked one Templar out of invisibility for a moment, but two Templar sliced at Ferin and Isaac to keep them away until he flashed into stealth once more.

Greg took out a can of energetic, popped it open expertly and downed in one voracious gulp.
"Alright. I suppose we're far enough away to tie this fellow up good and proper. Gives me time to rest, too," he declared, beginning to gather lianas hanging nearby; normally he would cut the pieces he needed off with his warp scythe, but given that it required at least some psychic power exertion, he resorted to a utility knife just this once.

Crash Site, the Cape of Stranglethorn
Whistling in a blissful - willful, even - ignorance of Triberk's reaction to the fascinating concept of a backwater planet savage native capable of helping with repairs, Mickey sauntered off and away, heading back to the Command Center to request further orders.
Character
: Azazel Ashwood
Location

"Yo, Ferin!" Azazel bellowed. The half-blood parried the strikes, the psy field of the warp scythes and the crackling matter-disrupting energy of his claws screeching horribly upon every collision.
"Think we can or should take them alive?" the half-blood snarled, swiping out on instinct, relying on his hearing, in an attempt to sever the haft of the nearest alien weapon.

His claws rang out as they struck against the blade of another scythe. Additionally, there was the faintest brush of air as the flat of a blade struck at Isaac.

"Gah!" The Goblin flailed. "Put me down, put me down right now! No massive buffoon!"
Celene admittedly smirked at the sight.
Admiral Noname
Ares
"Sir, more natives have been picked up at the parameter. Bringing them in now." The marine stated over his comm, waving at the two to follow him as he headed for the door of the ship.
Engines roared overhead as the dropship flew around the ship; heading to the only open hanger on its western side.
"Last stop, everybody off." The pilot commented, setting her transport down as medics rushed to get the wounded off.
Ferin Hopewell, Alana Greyfang
Sillithus
"Don't like a little lightning, huh?" Ferin asked, raising up a wall of electricity around him in an attempt to catch any would-be attackers. "Let's figure that out AFTER we're done getting our asses kicked." He yelled to Isaac.
"Woah!" Alana said as the stalkers opened fire. "Okay, that's just not cool. Come on." She added, drawing her blades to quickly block several shots. "I mean, this is hardly fair. It's, what, ten or so of you against two of us?" She asked, backing up towards her sister.
"You better call for some help." She smirked, spinning one of her swords in massive, slow arcs to deflect several shots.

For all Azazel's combat training he barely heard the blade approaching; all he could do was twist and turn in an attempt to minimize the damage taken, roar out in pain when the weapon connected and deliver an arcing strike, trying to get back at at least one of the aliens. The fight was quickly getting on the half-blood's nerves; not only his claws, which were normally capable of shattering enemy weapons, were only good for blocking so far, the aliens' superior camouflage concealed them in many more ways than simply removing them from sight.

Prometheus
"Yes, yes. Whatever you call your '
highly advanced
' technology." William stated, ascending the building.
"Like I said, if you don't attempt foreplay with exposed wiring, you're already smarter than half the knuckle-draggers here."
Ferin Hopewell, Alana Greyfang
Sillithus
Alana nodded. "Worth a shot." She said, knowing that even if she continued to block the shots, the Protoss had them pinned.
For all her love of combat, Alana had never truly made use of phasing; a natural ability for Nether Dragons, the legacy that made up her draconic half. An act of slipping in and out of the twisting nether, nearly vanishing from sight and passing through many obstacles; something that came naturally to demons and full-blood Nethers like their mother.
"Alright, this is getting boring, let's go for it." The girl said, waiting for the moment between shots before breaking her guard and rushing at the stalkers again; shimmering as her form fell into a between of the nether and Azeroth.

The Phoenix nimbly rose, letting the beam pass under it, and continued to fire unabated.
His strike was rewarded with a grunt of pain and a sudden spattering of dark purple blood. The Templar's formed flickered for a moment as he apparently dodged left before fading into invisibility once again. As this happened, another blow was aimed at Isaac, the once again the flat of the blade, aimed at the back of his head.
A scythe arced at Ferin after the lightning had dissipated, letting out a subaudible hum as it flew towards his back.

A cry of triumph at the sight of the alien blood finally shed on the sand gave way to a howl of pain and fury as yet another strike of the scythes connected with Azazel's skull, singeing his hair; however minor, the concussion was exacerbated by the splitting headache already afflicting the gray-skinned youth. Though he was expecting such an attack after the first time the flat of the invader's blade slammed into him, the son of Ahriman could do little and less to parry it.
What he could do, however, was lash out violently in retaliation - and this riposte was far more accurate, owing it to the same expectation of an attack directed to the back of his head. On the other hand, already Azazel's movements were losing finesse and gaining wild, almost bestial, frenzy to them as the beatings his cranium took, both within and without, slowly took their toll.
