Best pet for 1v1 and abilities prio

I recently engaged some pvp/duelling and i have two basic questions
1)Which pet do you consider the best for 1v1 ? (BM spec)
2)Which is your main strategy?

1) You generally get an extra ability with exotic pets, whether it's a heal, another buff, a stun, etc. Browse the database on this site to see the abilities pets have and pick what you like.
2) DPS and some utility talents are determined by pet spec; check your pet specs to see what your options are. Most people will spec pets Ferocity or Cunning for PvP.
3) Main strategy? Hunters are a DPS class... so, blow things up? Different opponents will have different abilities that you'll need to respond to, so there is no one-size-fits-all strategy. PvP isn't like a raid boss; you can't simply make a plan ahead of time and then go execute it. You have to figure how to deal with various classes/specs on a case-by-case basis.
