I now have 4 toons the newest being a Enhancement Shaman and I love playing him he does great damage /DPS and is not that hard to play out of all my toons I would have to say that my shaman is my number one favorite I have been playing Wow for almost 2 years now don't be afraid to try new things if you don't like it you can always hit the DELETE button. I hope I was able to help with your question.

I cant tell you much on healers Im more in to the up close and personal fighting styles.

enhancement is really fun to level, so i'd try that if you want to get a feel for the class.

as far as resto, shaman are very good healers. we have extremely strong group healing abilities when the raid is clumped together, as well as very good tank healing tools. GHW is one of the biggest single target heals in the game; 250k crits are not uncommon.

nowadays we also have plenty of strong healing cooldowns to utilize as well. our biggest weakness is healing a raid or group that's spread out. definitely can't keep up with a druid or monk in those cases. luckily, there's not too many fights like that this tier.
