Desolace or Southern Barrens next?

I just wrapped up Ashenvale & need to chose which way to go. Would anyone like to offer advice as to which is the more fun/productive/lore-rich to pick - Desolace or Southern Barrens? Level 32 Worgen Assassination Rogue herbalist alchemist first aider ( & hoping to find that Lesser Agility Potion recipe drop that has eluded me so far).

Well rather then skipping a zone, go grind out Stonetalon quick, then head to Southern Barrens to continue the war story, or go into Desolace for the cleansing storyline.

Leveling from 1-60: Questing and Dungeons
Pick for yourself after reading. It seems like Desolace is better because you move on to Feralas, rather than ending up in Dustwallow Marsh after Southern Barrens. that is, if you've gone through Dustwallow Marsh before.
