Okay, I have a question regarding the 5th tier talents for Blood DK Tanking. According to Noxxic, Blood Pact is a better choice for runic regen over Runic Corruption.
Can anyone explain WHY this is? To me, it makes more sense to increase your overall rune regen than to have an every so often activated Death Rune. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, or there is something more to the numbers than I am seeing.
Any help would be appreciated.

Blood tap =/= blood pact.
Runic corruption is currently terrible even for frost (that stacks a lot of haste already).
Runic empowerment produces (on average) more runes than blood tap, but doesnt give you any control over when those runes are activated. The problem with it its 45% chance, which may give you runes when you have many runes available already, rather than give you runes when you are rune starved. Same with death strike mechanic. We rather use death strike after a damage spike and have as many runes ready or use the blood tap as a minor cd.

If you rather not min max or dont want to manage another stuff / press more button, just take empowerment.
