Haha! I just went on my mage to see that and there it were... I'm sure it's just a bug nothing important...
I took picture where i sit on it on my mage i45.tinypic.com/91mjy0.jpg It looks like i can't link it but yeah there's my mage sitting on it. Yeah there doesn't read "Doodad_Dalaran_Chair_29" in the picture but yeah it said that thing to me too. You should tell about this to Blizzard.

Ha, I like little Easter eggs like this. I remember the pair of legs in the pile of barrels in the Tauren area of Org AH when Cata came. I'm pretty sure it's been removed, though I haven't checked lately.

There's quite a few "doodad" items around the world, it's just they were never named or created correctly.
Iirc there is one in shrine of 7 stars, next to void storage guy.

It's not an easter egg, it's just a bug. Someone forgot to check 'Don't show name' box in item options.
