Blackish purple splashes on the ground?

I don't know if it's a warlock thing I just can't find or a trinket/equipment ability or what but watching demo locks at the training dummies I occasionally see them do something that splashes globs of blackish purple stuff on the ground that makes little puddles that stay for a short moment before fading.
I've tried every spell while in every form available to demo and nothing does it. I have even been changing out glyphs seeing if any change the appearance of something but nothing does it.
Every time I see another lock do this I message them and ask what it was and they never reply. Has been at least three different locks I've seen do it.
Any idea what this is?

No, "I've tried every spell while in every form available to demo and nothing does it. I have even been changing out glyphs seeing if any change the appearance of something but nothing does it."
That includes Hand I've tried. I see the things bounce out when it hits but they don't make puddles that persist for a few moments.

Hate to say it, but I believe you're seeing things. Your description matches Hand of Guldan, but there is nothing in the Warlock arsenal that mimic's HoG while allowing for splashes. I checked all MoP PvP and PvE gear, and nothing adds that effect. I even looked on youtube to find the MoP demonology spells, and none of the video's show what you're describing. If you see multiple warlocks doing this, then whatever they are doing would be common and be part of the basic rotation, which further supports that HoG is what you're seeing. Nothing else in the demo rotation would give that same effect.

Hand of Gul'dan with the talent that makes your AoE spells hit more. Mannaroth's Fury.
If this is true, then I stand corrected. I'm a couple bubbles from 90 so I wasn't able to test the 3 level 90 tier'd talents, but it makes sense.

Added the talent and it still didn't do it. BUT! With the talent AND the hand glyph that makes me able to select where it lands TADA the splashy things!

Haha, I've seen this too, on youtube videos, I thought I was crazy at first, and that I was seeing things, but then I showed my friend the video, and he agreed that he had never seen it before.
At first I was thinking that maybe it was a modified version of HoG, possibly an AoE version of it, not unlike RoF(Rain of Fire), but only active while in Dark Apotheosis, similar to how HoG changes when you switch into Meta, and turns into Chaos Wave, but I tried that while in Apotheosis, and it still didn't work, but thank you for clearing that up for me, it has been bugging me for some time now.
