Resto: shaman or druid for PvP?

I want to make a new character and level it and then eventually heal in PvP at level 90. I can't decide if I want to make a shaman or a druid. I mean, I would like to make a monk because they level fastest but they don't seem viable for PvP.
In general, which is in a better spot right now, Shamans or Druids for resto PvP?
And which levels faster as cat/enh?

I feel like druids might level faster because I can have a bear offspec and get instant queues.
I will be using shadowcraft heirlooms.

Druid heals are harder to interupt, which really gets frustrating. go druid.

and druids can stealth so they dont need to reveal themselves until its time to start healing... although if theres a good priest on the other side they can dispel all of your heals

Yeah, I have kind of the same problem...leveled my troll shammy to 90 and JC to 600, went resto (which I preferred in the past) and have found all my heals interupted or dispelled and getting 2-3 shotted by most OP dpsers. (I'm in full dread gear with Sha boots) Getting frustrated, so will temp. shelve my shammy and concentrate on my disc. priest for heals and my rogue and warrior for dps. Sound like a plan? Shammys are just so weak now...hopefully blizzard buffs them soon!

Well with the current state of pvp and what seems like endless cc. I'd go druid due to their HARD, UNDISPELLABE, CHAINABLE(9 seconds), IMMUNITY GRANTING, rage inducing crowd control in Cyclone . Where as Shamans(blizzard pls buff me u took my totems T_T) have close to none besises earth grab and hex. Not to mention that resto is all about dot heals which means cast and forget which allows u to focus on more cc.
But with a druids lack of the ability to put up big numbers shammies still shine in both bg's and arenas. With them its all about NUMBERS because who doesn't like big numbers running across their screen right? But alas with the changes to shamans entering MoP there is no longer anyway to escape these cc blankets that are the bane of many healers.
So all in all choose a druid(although i prefer my shammy). Good luck in your choice.

playing both I say resto druids have the edge in pvp (shaman in pve) because of the instant casts druids have. if I am focused I can usually live longer on my druid but when not focused my shaman can put up some huge numbers

Driuds can remove "rooted/slow" affects like farts in pants. Also, u cant be polymorphed if you are in beast forms.
thats why i play druid.
