Queation regarding MoP

i quit playing about a month or so before MoP hit, mainly because something happened to my game install that required me to have to redownload the whole game again.
the question is, if i buy MoP, will i still be faced with the current download i have of 20.2GB worth of data (still have what i think maybe a corrupt install of cata on my harddrive), will the MoP CD 'fix' my current install, or will i still be faced with the huge download?

im not sure, if it will fix it and therefore i suggest removing it and do that "huge" download.
which i personally didnt find to be that long. had too reinstall mop, cause something was wrong. and i had the game back up too in about 2 hours. it wasnt fully downloaded yet at that point so i put all my settings on the lowest and turned lots of stuff off. and i was able too play without much problems while the background downloader finished it up.

see thats the problem, because i am on a crappy PAYG dongle, that 20gig download will cost me £75 which is why i am trying as hard as possible to avoid it :(

The MoP CDs (or more likely 1-2 DVDs) will bring you to game version 5.0, it's a comparatively small download from there to the current 5.1
Just start the Installer on the CD/DVD, it should recognize and patch your game installation.

Wowpedia's Patch mirrors page
, getting from 5.0.1 (likely the version on the CDs/DVDs) to 5.1.0a will still be a bit over 1 GB.

Go to a place like McDonalds or Starbucks and use their free wireless to do your download. I have a buddy who uses a Verizon Hotspot to play, but does all the patching/downloading at a local fast food chain.
