Just to be sure, if I choose
Spectral Gryphon
my Horde characters won't be able to use it? Considering the tooltip doesn't say anything about factions like
Battered Hilt
for example.

But that sounds like I get both mounts for one SoR. So to clarify, if I choose the gryphon and give it to an Alliance character, I will only get the gryphon and it will only be usable by Alliance characters, and my Horde characters won't get anything, correct?

Your ally toons will have the gryphon and your horde toons will have the wind rider. I checked to make sure as I have it. Used it on my horde druid and my ally toons have the gryphon.

According to this FAQ, my mounts must be bugged then:
Q5. Do these faction-specific mounts convert to their faction equivalent similar to how they'd convert if you were to faction change?
A5. No. Faction-specific mounts do not currently convert to their faction equivalent.
For example, a Sunreaver Dragonhawk does not convert to a Silver Covenant Hippogryph.
A Mekgineer's Chopper does not convert to a Mechano-Hog.
I've had mine change over; I've got the Sunreaver Dragonhawk and Hawkstrider on my Horde side and I've never done the AT things.
