I would like to suggest that the spam protection (as that is what I assume I'm running in to) gets lowered at higher reputation (presumeably we have proven that we contribute rather than spam).
I keep running up agaist "please wait X seconds before posting again" and since I type fast and respond a lot (at least currently) I often see it at 80+ seconds - after typing in my response.
Could we get a lowered threshold at higher rep? possibly in intervals, so you get a little lower, then medium lower, then significantly lower - possibly getting it removed completely at very high rep levels?
I'm not sure what rep levels to work with for this, but I assume you would have a pretty good idea about how high it should be based on the amount of users that have achieved X rep.

I think in principal that it is a good idea, but wowhead doesn't seem to like speedy users.
I was banned from voting on comments in the DB because I read a page of comments, decided which were relevant/funny and worthwhile and, of course, the ones that weren't and voted accordingly. Apparently I'm supposed to read each comment then vote on it before moving on to the next one. Anyway that was over nine months ago and whilst I understand how it can look from another perspective I still think it sucks that I wasn't listened to when I replied and that the ban is still in place. if someone were to do what Czeano suggest and use your account to post 1000 links your account would be screwed over forever.
So as I said before, your idea is a good one, but I don't think it will be implemented as wowhead prefers to control access and restrict speedy users.

It's interesting that this idea came up just a few days ago. I added it to our suggestion list but if there's more support for this then I'll look into it myself to see if it's practical.
Dwarfstar, there's no record of any communication from you to feedback. you received a couple of warnings before the action was taken so I believe that the action on your account was entirely valid. If you want comment rating privileges returning then you should contact feedback to talk about it. If potentially abusive behaviour is repeated without any acknowledgement of the situation from the user then we revoke their ability to continue the behaviour. I'm sure you understand.

Asakawa, I have no idea why there is no record of communication from me as I used the reply function, however the fact that nothing has been received by you guys doesn't take away the perception from my standpoint that I was ignored.
I have already stated in my original post that I understand why the action against me was taken, and at no point did I say anything to the contrary.
I seldom post, because I don't really feel that I have anything to add, or that people want to hear. There is often talk of the 'wowhead community', however it isn't a community I feel a part of. But on this occasion I felt I had something to give, a validation if you like of the possible reason why an otherwise sensible idea may not be implemented. I used an example to demonstrate my point from a similar angle.

That's some crazy coincidence, as I was literally thinking the same thing the other day when running into a 90+ second wait time for posting.
Although it's a rare occasion for me as I don't post a lot, and definitely not in very rapid succession usually, I do think removing, or at least lowering it for high reputation users would be a nice feature.

I agree, the same happens to me but with screenshots, i really love to put screenshot in the database, i always get a screenshot of each thing in like in 30 seconds, but i can't submit them in 30 seconds of each because i have to wait 80+ seconds.
I really want this to be a privilege since we have a lot of Reputation.
I understand about stealing an account, but i know my password is really hard to know. I guess the only one that has my password is the Admins of this site(or not).

I know that I have premium, but when it was down for a bit, I had about two minute posting times. That's insanity. I remember about two years ago when it was only 30 seconds.
It definitely needs to be lowered.

Also this, i remember when i had Premium i didn't have to wait for this.
But now can't pay for Premium because of things that i have to get for Christmas.
