; what were your thoughts on Putress' betrayal at the Wrathgate? And what are your thoughts on Sylvanas in general; she may be undead, but she was once a high elf - just as you used to be.

, Blood Lord of Silvermoon, Champion of Quel'Thalas, Defender of the Sunwell: Whatever Putress thought his motives were, in the end he was just a nihilistic maniac that swore allegiance to the Burning Legion.
As for the Banshee Queen... I prefer to think that she met her final death in Gilneas or some other time after the War against the Lich King ended. It is easier to remember her as a hero she used to be and all the good she has done to us even in undeath. We would have a much harder time surviving had she not helped secure our alliance with the Horde.
Do not get me wrong, now. I condemn events such as the destruction of Southshore, but not because I sympathize with the humans that used to live there. Far from it. However, we and the Forsaken have proven to be capable of more than just coexisting - Tranquillien is a good example. The Ghostlands are slowly being restored to their former glory in no small thanks to its undead denizens. I wish heartily the rest of the Forsaken could, for instance, work alongside the Argent Crusade to rebuild Lordaeron.
What they live behind themselves now is uninhabitable wasteland that bears more than a passing resemblance to the workings of the Scourge. This is their legacy. This is what the Banshee Queen has turned to at some point.

; so do you feel sorry for the Forsaken for being turned into monsters by a slowly-maddening Queen? Or do you hate them for becoming monsters in the first place?

Kareithel Arroval
, Blood Lord of Silvermoon, Champion of Quel'Thalas, Defender of the Sunwell: It takes a conscious choice of a weak-willed individual to become a monster. "I did what I did because I was ordered to" cannot excuse committing atrocities.
It is not the curse of undeath in and of itself that makes some of them - not all of them, thank the Well - monsters.

All Contributors
; which the characters
you
created has been
your
favorite? Any possible range of reasons is acceptable (i.e.; backstory, dialouge possibilities, events played throught with that character), but please tell why. Secondly; which of another Contributor's characters has been your favorite (again; any possible reasons apply, but please be as specific as possible in explaining why).

Well, Dag'rema is one of my favorites, certainly. She has become very popular I think, because she is a well-crafted villain with a genuinely sad backstory. But unlike a lot of sad-backstory villains, she isn't a slave to her backstory. Her history led to her being in the hurt, angry state that led her to be a villain, but it's not what fuels her anymore.
Taelani is another one of my favorites, perhaps because I just like sad backstories. Likewise with Snowmane.

I don't think I have a favorite in regards to my own characters.
As for which of another users characters are my favorites that's fairly easy; Kitanga and Dag from Skree, and pretty much anyone Gum creates heh.

Depending on my mood, and how the story is going, my favorites are Tandra and Specter. They're both fun to write for totally different reasons; Tandra is aderpable, and Specter is totally badass.
As far as a favorite character from someone else.... uhhhhhh.... uhmmmmm... errrr....
TOO MANY CHOICES! *fetal position*

Me:
My favorite of mine is Loki because when it comes to mechanics he's a genius but when he has to act around other people he falls on his face. And he's an engineer and they can accomplish anything with a will and a wrench.
As for other people characters. Sasha and Cora but I like a lot of the characters that are around.

: Of my lot, Lisciel Dawnchaser, hands down. And not because he has hair with an awesome of its own. Well, not just because. I enjoy writing his optimism, his sense of humor, his unshakeable loyalty to his friends and family, etc. etc.
Not gonna play favorites on the others. Especially since I don't suppose I'm allowed to pick characters that are related to mine, that would be too close to picking my own again.

: I'm gonna go ahead and answer my own question. My favorite would have to be Morec, House of Rivendre. His earliest purpose was not only to be an expy of my favorite character, but to give me a direct link to the Warcraft universe, just like how an in-game avatar does. There were some noticable difference between he and I, but he was still supposed to be me superimposed on a character. And then his transformations came about, his alteration from expy of one character to another to his own personality. It's what makes him, perhaps, the most memorable of all my characters.
As for my favorite amongst others, I'll have to go with Kitanga and Dag'rema as well. Their backstory was simply too impressive, as was their interaction with each other in A20 and the like. They are easily the two most well-developed and respectable characters on the entire board (in my humble opinion).

; although he may be insignificant to you, Lord Morec, of the House of Rivendare, has been quickly gaining power of both mystical and political nature at a rappid pace and he has ambitions matched only by his growing might. You met him once (A20), although he was still argueably insane at that point, but what do you think about what he has become? And do you think that he potentially poses enough of a threat to you that he should be eliminated before that threat can mature?

Nagorm Woeherald
: A talented youth, that one. He may just grow up interesting enough for me to consider turning him into a Praetorian. Not a threat, though; and it is not about power, mystical or otherwise - his interests do not conflict with mine, for the time being at least. They certainly may, if he becomes an influence that weakens the planet's defenses, but that remains to be seen.

; when you say "turning him into a Praetorian" it seems to imply by force. Are your Praetorians - or, at least select members amongst them - not free-willing applicants?

Nagorm Woeherald
: No, never. Every single member of the Cohort has made a conscious decision to become a lich-knight bound to me for all eternity.
Even though a significant fraction of them has chosen it over otherwise certain death, the circumstances leading up to that never had my hand in it. Basically, every so often a treaty is made with a potential candidate that allows me to whisk him or her away in the moment their body fails them, after which they can choose whether to serve me as a Praetorian or succumb to their wounds/disease/etc.
However, in those cases I try not to meddle with their lives between the signing of the treaty and their near-death; not in a way that can influence their decision or hasten their death, at least. Doing otherwise would mean a drop in quality, if you will.
