i was activity leader by quite a margin in our guild when it was first introduced.
when my current guild split off (went from 25 too 10, and old GM prefered seeing the guild die then turn 10man) i lost all this activity. and nowadays im 5th i think.
does that made me a better or more usefull player? no it didnt just meant i did more dailies/achievement farming then my guildies (thats how orginally became number 1).
so assigning a rank for the amounts of points players earn would be stupid.
ranks should be earned in how a person contribute too the guild (with officers being people who guide/lead and manage the guild). in a meaning full way and not by how many points they earned.
else you might end up with mr. clueless leading cause he farms dailies.

Using Guild Activity (total) points is actually a pretty nice way to promote your newer players.
Clerk is our default rank.
Member requires 1 million Guild Activity (total) points. That 16 or so quests, or similar activities, and takes about 4 hours of active play.
Veteran requires 10 million GTA if you register on our guild website, or 20 million otherwise. That's a reasonable approach, and the information on our website will help you understand our guild, more quickly.
The upper ranks are all based on the judgement of our Officers, and indicate that you're helping pull the guild wagon in one way or another, such as being a reliable member of our raid team.

We're currently chasing an anomaly. An EX-guild member when through two other guilds, it's been more than 30 days, but she has 75 million GAT on the FIRST day that she rejoined.
We're aware that you only lose one level of reputation, but apparently there's something going on with the Guild Activity points as well, that we're trying to figure out.
