This is a great idea, but I would suggest visiting each city at 2 different times. I know on US Velen, trade chat during the day is one thing but at evening/night its completely different. Usually evening is when most raiders are gearing up and the majority of people are online.

I have a toon on Proudmoore alliance side and there is something always going on. I know that 8/8 DS pugs with at least 5 heroic happen on a regular basis, and that the pvp community is fairly decent.
