How are they doing? Last time I checked, which was a good 6 months ago, they weren't that strong. How are they now?

in my opinion resto druids never were bad in 2's as they can use a lot of their cc there as opposed to 3's were they are forced to heal non stop and can't use their cc.
as to your question i just went 1750 rating on my unholy dk which i hadn't played since half way wotlk geared full ruthless with a resto druid who hadn't played since start of cata and was geared full vicious without any problems what so ever.
higher is definitely possible aswell as we didn't even use skype, my dps was lacking because of gear (mainly weapon), switches to druid were deadly bc of his gear and we never had played together before.

Druids are great at kiting but can be easily cc'd. Their heals rely on long-term fights to maximize the effectiveness of their HoTs therefore enemy burst teams which can effectively cc (e.g. Frost mage, subt rogue) will destroy you and your arena partner.

The measured responses are correct. Druid healers can only be defeated if they are targeted, if there's an enemy dispeller or if they face burst. That leaves... warlock-warlock teams? Yes, druids stand a fair chance against all-warlock teams. Otherwise, they are worse than weak. The word "worthless" comes to mind.
