I'm thinking of buying another WoW account without any expansions to make another twink.
Once I'm level 60, will it count that my xp is locked? Will I get in battlegrounds only with people that have locked xp?

I don't believe it will matter whether you formally lock your xp or not - the game won't let you go beyond 60. However, for BGs, you will be marked as lvl 60 and will group as such (pretty sure it'll be group 60 - 69). So you'll be on the low end and those people will grossly out match you. I'm pretty sure you'll also be restricted to any pre-BC bgs and won't get access to the BGs that came out post-vanilla.
I'd advise locking at 59.

That's not exactly what I meant.
I don't know if you're aware of it but there are separate battlegrounds for people with locked xp and for those who don't.
So I was wondering if you'll get sent to the locked xp or the normal ones when you're 'stuck' on level 60.

You get placed into the XP off (Locked) bracket, it would just be more effective to make a level 60 twink on your main account and just turn off XP at level 60 if you really want to twink at 60. Also, you get BC for free so you would need to turn it off on the alt account anyway.

Ah thanks. The main reason I was thinking of doing this is that I could boost my own twink.
It's a pain in the ass to find a group.

Although to be honest level 70 twinks are actually a thing and CAN hold their own in the 70-74 bracket.

From now on getting Classic WoW counts as TBC too so you would actully be locked at level 70 not 60
The Pvp Bracket for that is 70-74
You can lock exp without buying a new account go to
Horde
